Also I read this on X and I agree- abhi bahut hi uneven playing field thi between J and S. By showing that J was equally inexperienced in the matters of the heart and has no prior relationship experience, they definitely leveled things a bit.

You could see in the scene as well- saumya started the scene super unconfident and down in the dumps but as she realized that Jeet was just like her/ she gained a lot of confidence and had some sass and spunk to her.

I really appreciated that given everything Saumya is going through in the larger picture - she doesn't have to wonder or compare herself with a Potential ex and feel less than.

Seriously though, Jeet and Saumya are very similar. Their insecurities about themselves just manifest in the opposite directions like I said earlier.

And Saumya relaxing around Jeet is in some part a product of that similarity. She thinks of Jeet as someone uber confident and worldly wise (self-proclaimed Sant Jeet), but the moment he either meets her in the middle or she gets a glimpse of who he truly is, her confidence shifts into a new gear.

And that's what her parents and Ridhaan refuse and/or fail to understand. They're trying to bring Saumya up to their level or to the level of other women her age, instead of realizing that people who have been through what she has need a different approach.

Anoop shutting up Madhu and Uma today also irked me a bit. Aap log chup rahiye. Couldn't have said it in a better, less dismissive way? Just shut them up instead of going, "no guys, this is what date means in this context."

And the way Krish was so hesitant to even approach Anoop was so gutting. A parent should be a safe space for their child, and here's this dummy who his own children are afraid to approach with something as simple as a question about them organizing a date for their sister with her own fiancé.

Haan they are alike. And it's nice that writers are thinking of making Saumya feel special as well. Jeet this Jeet that. Thoda god complex type character bana rakha hai. If they show Saumya as the first girl who can actually go past his rough and tough exterior- that would be nice.

Just write off these parents in the show. Not worth wasting your time and breath over them.

I think I read an interesting take- think of the Jeeya and the youngster stories oriented towards the actual theme of the show and people like us.

The toxic family drama is meant for the TRP audience who apparently thrive on izzat samaj log kya kahenge shaadi nonsense. Since I read this take, it has helped me detach and not care about what's happening in the adult world of the show .

More than half of the epi was the Jeeya scene so I'm super happy. I think the writers are doing the rounds of social media coz Kaafi speculation chal raha tha about Jeets potential past relationships and Kaafi clear diya aaj that Saumya will potentially be the first girl he falls for lol.

The Jeeya scene was so them/ started out as cute playful banter and ended with the tension in the air butterflies in the stomach 😆

I loved how sweetly Jeet was all about training her in hockey but S wanted Dating tips instead 😆. And Jeets reaction at that and telling her the story of some random movie. And the way S clocked him was just 😂😂😂 these 2 are just so cute and this banter comes so naturally to them. S bhi kaafi khush ho gayi that Jeet sir is not that well versed in the matters of the heart 😆

And how she was all about Jeet Sir all the girls in college are Lattoo over you over and over again/ Jeet should have clocked her there and asked- Aur Tum? Tum ho Lattoo mere pe Junior? lol

Ah their playful teasing was just so sweet.
and then the end hockey holding was the right kind of feels that moment needed. The expression that Jeet gave her with his eyebrows when she turned around to see why she's being held back was 😍

the editing in the morning Hockey scene sucked so much ki kya bolen. So disjointed. And hilarious ki S wasn't jealous at all but rather making light of Jeets situation lol. She did seem a little j of Reva though? Not sure coz editing was God Awful. Poore scene ka kachra kar diya. And then Sarthak ji ki entry. Jeet was like why is he looking at me like this? Mere saath date pe jaana hai kya. Pit wit jayega mere se 😆

Editing se yaad aaya. They gave an entire moment to Ridhaan to see Saumya in those clothes but nothing from Jeet? Bahut Bakwaas editing thi. Jeet ke theek se reactions were not captured and even his speed dating looked maha random and stupid.

Oh lol I found it hilarious that Jeet was the one to suggest the date in the first place. Gadha Kahin ka.

So glad I didn't see even a glimpse of Roop barring that flashback of Mr. Ghadiyal. Usko nikaalo. Isn't Anupam back in Kyunki...? Then let the actor be Anupam. Get this Roop chapter done and dusted with.

And Jeet and Saumya's faux handhold/halting is always so cute! First with Jeet's baby and Saumya's dupatta, and now with Jeet's wrist and the hockey stick.

Editing ki toh baat hi na karo toh better hai. Such a jumbled mess today in the last 5-7 minutes. But I'm actually not mad that they only showed Ridhaan when Saumya showed up and not Jeet since it felt like Ridhaan wasn't just happy at seeing Saumya arrive in sports gear, but also just happy to see her there for hockey. And his surprise at seeing her in a tracksuit would make more sense since he just has had a longer baseline to compare it to. He's known Saumya longer and the clothes would be surprising. He even said so.

Showing Jeet wouldn't really matter because Jeet hasn't known Saumya long enough to know if she never wears sporty clothes. And he knew she'd show up. He saw her determination the night before, not just in the way she was practicing, but also in how she didn't ask him help for learning hockey but rather asked for tips about the date.

Fair point. But yeah the editing was so crappy ki sab disjointed lag raha tha. I honestly didn't care for Jeets reaction anyway coz I don't think every time the FL dressed different the ML NEEDS to give a reaction...

That is just one of the worst things, The worst thing is he articulates exactly why Saumya is going through what she is, knows that Saumya is comfortable around Jeet, and refuses to think objectively about Saumya's behavior. Just willfully blind to the evidence right in front of him. Kon maa-baap apne bachche ko leke iske clinic mein jaate hai? Roko unko.

Yep. Like he's the villain without any sense of responsibility whatsoever. Usual ITV villains at least have a sense of themselves- ki Haan bhai hum toh villain hain. Leads ko chain se jeene nai denge 😆🤣

But Anoop ji is shown as so high and mighty- he thinks he can do no wrong. Like apne pedo bhai ko ghar pe rakha hua hai without any consequences and then goes about talking about how much izzat he has earned. Gimme a break.

I need to know if these actors go to get typecasted themselves, ya phir casting teams ek show mein dekh ke bolti hai, "this. this actor should play this character."

Pehle Sarthak, and now the actor playing Anoop. The actor played Imlie and Malini's dad in Imlie, and udhar bhi spineless nincompoop tha. Bas, thali ka baingan. Malini found herself a husband just like her father the way Aditya and Dev (the father) were just versions of each other.

Aur idhar Saumya bol rahi hai that she wants a husband just like her father. Kyun behen? Kyun chahiye do same prakriti ke prani?
