It crossed even more - as far as I know... and most probably rightly so given what I was told by friends.

However, now, something seems to have happened I would not have wished for the makers: the BJP involved Hombale Films grabbed this religious jewel with the 'bait' to market the movie overseas. I really would have preferred a Netflix release.

As Dr. Chaturvedi - from the beginning - had a trilogy in mind about Neem Karoli Baba (he also had written a book about his own experiences), this is - imo - not really a good 'evolution'...

I would not wish that this spiritual movie gets put into the 'political BJP box', by whomever... yet I fear for the sequal after what had been done with Kantara.

Why do I 'fear' that? Well...

Just a few days ago, it was officially announced that Yogi Adityanath himself had scheduled a special screening of Hanuman Ansh. ... and also - since 2015 - the respective Ashram got turned more & more into a quite less spiritual place but more into a 'money spinning' tourist attraction.

Watching the movie rn, it is fabulous and housefull.

Things should remain what they are.

I've heard a lot about this Baba so I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing this movie.

It doesn't have a designated OTT streaming platform release though right?

Until now OTT platforms had rejected the movie when the maker contacted them. As far as I know, the movie got taken over by Homale Films for an overseas release in some days.

Ok, so Hanuman Ansh is set to be released worldwide on Sep 11th. Hope it finds success in the world markets too.
