Robbie did not want to concede, but he saw that Kasturi was right. He decided to be mature and go with it.

Robbie and Raunak are so close. But their fathers have no comfort level between them.

Whatever the truth is, it will affect Robbie and Raunak. Why can't the fathers let it out and resolve it for good?

There was no betrayal. The two men made a decision. So why all the cryptic messages?

Neither father betrayed the other. But they are still not able to face each other.

Kasturi is on to the mystery too. She has noticed something that might help figure out who the third person was.

KASTURI - A NEW BEGINNING

EPISODE 7 - "THE THIRD MAN"

SCENE 1 - SABHARWAL GROUP - MORNING

The office is unusually quiet.

Robbie stands near the glass doors, looking outside.

Raunak is beside him.

Kasturi walks toward them.

KASTURI

I know who I saw.

Robbie turns.

ROBBIE

You're sure?

KASTURI

Not completely.

She takes out her phone and shows them the photograph she secretly captured.

KASTURI

But look at the ring.

Raunak zooms in.

RAUNAK

I've seen that ring before.

Robbie looks at him.

ROBBIE

Where?

Raunak thinks.

RAUNAK

At Dad's house.

Robbie's expression changes.

SCENE 2 - CONFERENCE ROOM

The three sit together.

Kasturi places the photograph on the table.

KASTURI

We shouldn't accuse anyone without proof.

RAUNAK

Agreed.

Robbie looks at the photograph.

ROBBIE

But we need to know why this person is connected to our fathers.

Kasturi looks at him.

KASTURI

And why he's suddenly back.

Robbie looks at her.

ROBBIE

You said you saw him yesterday.

KASTURI

Yes.

ROBBIE

Did he see you?

Kasturi hesitates.

KASTURI

I think so.

Robbie becomes concerned.

ROBBIE

Then don't investigate this alone.

Kasturi looks at him.

KASTURI

I can take care of myself.

ROBBIE

I know.

A beat.

ROBBIE

That's not why I said it.

Their eyes meet.

Raunak notices the moment and quietly smiles.

SCENE 3 - SINGHANIA HOUSE

Raunak returns home.

Dushant is in the living room.

DUSHANT

Where were you?

RAUNAK

Office.

Dushant studies his face.

DUSHANT

You found something.

Raunak is surprised.

RAUNAK

Why would you think that?

Dushant says nothing.

Raunak walks closer.

RAUNAK

Dad, who was the third person?

Dushant's face goes pale.

DUSHANT

Don't ask me again.

RAUNAK

Why?

DUSHANT

Because knowing his name could put you in danger.

Raunak is shocked.

RAUNAK

Danger?

Dushant realizes he has said too much.

SCENE 4 - SABHARWAL MANSION

Purshotam receives a call.

He listens silently.

UNKNOWN VOICE

They found the photograph.

Purshotam's face changes.

PURSHOTAM

Who told you?

UNKNOWN VOICE

You know who.

The call ends.

Devika enters.

DEVIKA

Who was it?

Purshotam doesn't answer.

DEVIKA

He's back, isn't he?

Purshotam looks at her.

PURSHOTAM

Yes.

Devika closes her eyes.

DEVIKA

After all these years...

SCENE 5 - OFFICE

Kasturi is working at her desk.

Robbie comes over.

He places a coffee beside her.

She looks up.

KASTURI

Again?

ROBBIE

You looked tired.

KASTURI

You notice too much.

ROBBIE

Maybe I do.

She smiles.

Then notices his serious expression.

KASTURI

Still thinking about the mystery?

ROBBIE

Yes.

KASTURI

You should take a break.

ROBBIE

You're telling me to take a break?

KASTURI

Yes.

ROBBIE

You never take one.

KASTURI

That's different.

ROBBIE

How?

Kasturi smiles.

KASTURI

Because I'm not the boss.

Robbie laughs.

For a moment, the tension disappears.

SCENE 6 - RAUNAK'S DISCOVERY

Raunak searches through old family photographs.

He finds one from a business celebration twenty years ago.

He looks carefully.

In the background stands the same mysterious man.

Raunak's eyes widen.

He turns the photograph over.

A name is written behind it:

"VIKRAM MALHOTRA."

Raunak whispers-

RAUNAK

Vikram Malhotra...

SCENE 7 - ROBBIE AND RAUNAK

Raunak rushes to Robbie.

RAUNAK

I found him.

Robbie looks up.

ROBBIE

Who?

Raunak places the photograph on the table.

RAUNAK

Vikram Malhotra.

Robbie looks at the photograph.

ROBBIE

Malhotra...

Kasturi enters.

KASTURI

Who is Vikram Malhotra?

Raunak looks at her.

RAUNAK

A businessman.

Robbie continues.

ROBBIE

And apparently, someone our fathers don't want us to know about.

SCENE 8 - OLD BUSINESS FILE

Robbie searches the company database.

ROBBIE

There's no record.

Raunak checks another system.

RAUNAK

Nothing.

Kasturi notices something.

KASTURI

Wait.

She points at an old document.

KASTURI

This company name.

Robbie reads it.

ROBBIE

Malhotra Holdings.

Raunak looks shocked.

RAUNAK

It was dissolved twenty years ago.

Kasturi looks at them.

KASTURI

Then why is someone using the same name now?

Silence.

SCENE 9 - SABHARWAL MANSION

Purshotam confronts Dushant privately.

PURSHOTAM

Why did you let them search?

DUSHANT

I didn't.

PURSHOTAM

Raunak knows his name.

Dushant looks angry.

DUSHANT

And Robbie knows about the agreement.

Purshotam looks at him.

DUSHANT

We can't hide this forever.

PURSHOTAM

We have to.

DUSHANT

For how long?

Purshotam's voice drops.

PURSHOTAM

Until we know what Vikram wants.

Dushant looks worried.

DUSHANT

What if he wants revenge?

Purshotam doesn't answer.

SCENE 10 - KASTURI'S HOME

Kasturi tells Kaushalya about the strange atmosphere at work.

KAUSHALYA

Are you worried?

KASTURI

Not for myself.

Kaushalya understands.

KAUSHALYA

You're worried about Robbie.

Kasturi becomes quiet.

KASTURI

And Raunak.

Kaushalya smiles gently.

KAUSHALYA

You care about them.

Kasturi looks down.

KASTURI

They're good people.

Kaushalya doesn't push further.

SCENE 11 - ROBBIE'S ROOM - NIGHT

Robbie looks at an old photograph of himself and Raunak as children.

He smiles.

Then he receives a message.

"HOW LONG WILL YOU TRUST YOUR BEST FRIEND?"

Robbie's smile disappears.

Another message arrives.

"ASK RAUNAK WHAT HIS FATHER KNOWS."

Robbie immediately calls Raunak.

No answer.

SCENE 12 - RAUNAK'S ROOM

Raunak receives a message at the same time.

"YOUR FATHER IS HIDING THE TRUTH FROM YOU."

Another message follows:

"ROB BIE WILL NEVER TELL YOU EVERYTHING."

Raunak stares at the screen.

He remembers Robbie hiding the agreement.

His trust begins to shake.

SCENE 13 - NEXT MORNING - OFFICE

Robbie and Raunak meet.

Both are unusually quiet.

ROBBIE

You okay?

RAUNAK

Yes.

ROBBIE

You're lying.

Raunak looks at him.

RAUNAK

You were hiding something from me too.

ROBBIE

Because I didn't know what it meant.

RAUNAK

You could've told me.

ROBBIE

And you could've told me your father warned you about my family.

Silence.

Kasturi sees them arguing.

KASTURI

Stop.

Both turn toward her.

KASTURI

Someone is sending those messages because they want this exact reaction.

Robbie looks at Raunak.

Raunak looks away.

SCENE 14 - THE MYSTERIOUS MAN

A luxury car stops outside the office.

The door opens.

A man steps out.

We see his hand.

The same distinctive ring.

He walks toward the building.

His face remains hidden.

He receives a call.

VIKRAM

They're beginning to doubt each other.

A voice responds.

VOICE

And the girl?

Vikram looks toward the office.

VIKRAM

Kasturi Chawla?

He smiles.

VIKRAM

She may be more important than we thought.

SCENE 15 - EPISODE END

Kasturi is alone in the office corridor.

She notices an envelope on her desk.

No name.

She opens it.

Inside is an old newspaper clipping.

The headline reads:

"SABHARWAL-SINGHANIA BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP COLLAPSES AFTER MYSTERIOUS INCIDENT."

Below the headline is a photograph.

Kasturi stares at it.

Then she notices something.

A small photograph in the corner shows a young woman standing beside Vikram Malhotra.

Kasturi whispers-

KASTURI

Who is she?

Suddenly her phone rings.

Unknown number.

She answers.

KASTURI

Hello?

Silence.

Then a man's voice.

VIKRAM (PHONE)

If you want to know what happened twenty years ago...

A pause.

VIKRAM (PHONE)

Ask your family.

Kasturi freezes.

KASTURI

My family?

The call ends.

Kasturi looks terrified.
