And there was reciprocity in that. Nadia could see that Raya's fascination with her was not casual. He looked at her as though she had genuinely disrupted his world.

I also think Raya gave her a strange combination of safety and surrender.

Yes, he was frightening to everyone else. But around Nadia, he gradually allowed another side of himself to emerge. The man who could be tender, playful, vulnerable and almost boyish. After their intimacy, when she tells him to touch her with love rather than power, he doesn't dismiss her. He actually listened..

That must have meant a lot to her.

Because Nadia wasn't attracted to his power itself. She was attracted to the fact that this enormously powerful man was willing, with her, to put that power down.

And then there was his intensity.

Raya didn't love halfway. Once Nadia got inside his heart, she became important to him in a way that he couldnot hide. He may be toxic, possessive and emotionally complicated, but Nadia never had to wonder whether she matters to him.

That kind of certainty can be intoxicating.

Perhaps most importantly, Raya gave Nadia a glimpse of a life outside her own reality.

She lived in a circus...a world of performance, movement and impermanence. Raya lives in an entirely different world of power, danger and ambition. Yet with each other, they briefly created this strange little private world where none of those labels mattered.

And I think Nadia fell for the Raya who existed in that private world.The man who looked at her differently.The man who listened.The man who wanted her.The man who, despite all his darkness, seemed to become softer around her.

That's why her love didn't feel like "she fell for the dangerous gangster."

It feels more like:She saw the dangerous man, looked past him, found the wounded human being underneath and then discovered that he became most human when he was with her.

There is also a certain loneliness in Nadia. She belongs to a transient world, always performing, always surrounded by people but not necessarily emotionally rooted. Raya, for all his wealth and power, is profoundly lonely too.So they recognised something in each other.She saw the loneliness behind the power.He saw the courage behind the performance.

And perhaps that is the greatest thing Raya gave Nadia..not a perfect love, not a safe life, but the feeling that for once, someone was looking at her and seeing only Nadia..

That's why it destroyed her when she felt emotional abandonment from him......💔

You know I feel Ganga's decision to let Elizabeth kill Tony feels like one of her biggest moral failures.

She knew exactly what siblinghood meant for a sister. She had raised Raya, sacrificed for him, shaped his entire life around him. So when Irrespective of whatever plotting brother-sister duo of Elizabeth -Tony were doing...Ganga made Tony to be killed by Elizabeth & by doing so she participated in the very kind of wound she herself understood as sacred.

And Elizabeth understood that perfectly.

She didn't merely want Ganga dead. She wanted Raya to experience the destruction of his most sacred emotional bond through another person he loved. That's why using Nadia was so cruel.

Elizabeth knew Nadia wasn't Ganga. She knew Nadia had come to respect Ganga for what she had sacrificed for Raya, and she was carrying Raya's child. Yet Elizabeth deliberately created a situation where Nadia had to become the instrument of Ganga's death.

That's also why Elizabeth's final satisfaction is so chilling. She wasn't celebrating a physical victory. She believed she had achieved something much larger:

She had destroyed the bridge between Raya and Nadia forever.

Elizabeth knew Raya's psychology. Nadia would forever remind him of Ganga's death. And Raya, consumed by guilt, would be unable to return to the woman he loved even though he knew Nadia hadn't truly chosen any of it.

So Elizabeth's cruelty was calculated around the one thing she knew could break Raya completely: his love for his sister.

Elizabeth knew how sacred that bond was and weaponised it to destroy Raya.

That is why Elizabeth could die believing she had won. She didn't need Raya dead.

She needed Raya alive with nothing left inside him that could lead him back to Nadia.

I really wish Nadia had chosen to stay alive for her son, if for nobody else, than her own flesh and blood. How was she sure that Raya would accept him, look after him, that too without any prior mental preparation? Well, probably Nadia didn't care or didn't have the mental energy/capacity left to care for her son at that point....but I wish...just wish she could find her happiness in him, she could have left Goa with Ticket and raise him away from all the violence and melancholy...honestly speaking, Ticket also died there, in that fire with her...

Ahh..... another exchange that I really liked....🥹

Ganga: "How do you know he was my brother?"

Nadia looked at her and replied.."The same sad eyes."

That's so beautiful...Nadia didn't identify Ganga through facts. She identified her through Raya.She had looked into his eyes enough to recognise the same grief in his sister.

That's the moment the film tells me something profound that Nadia hasn't merely fallen in love with Raya's face, body or charm. She has learned to read his pain.

It's actually quite fascinating that they don't get an enormous amount of screen time together, yet the film manages to establish an entire emotional history through fragments...a look, a pause, a slap, a touch, a conversation, even the way Nadia reads Raya's eyes...

Yash and Kiara deserve enormous credit for that❤️

Also....i really liked how important this scene was in establishing Nadia, Ganga and Raya and their dynamics...

Like Ganga literally offered Nadia bundle of cash to leave that place...Nadia pushing the money away is more than refusing a bribe. She was defining herself with a very poignant line "I may not have received the respect I deserved from the world, but I have never sold my dignity" (or something like that) .

It echoed her previous encounter with Raya, when she would rather hurt herself than surrender herself to a man on terms she didn't choose.

And then comes that beautiful metaphor:

“The sea's waves can bring destruction... but in its depth lies life.”

That is essentially how Nadia saw Raya.

She wasn't romanticising his violence or the destruction he used to bring. She was saying that beneath all that destruction, she had seen something living and human in him,the vulnerable man his world had buried. And her hope that Ganga would learn to see the same thing is incredibly significant.

Because Ganga had spent years seeing Raya as someone to protect, control, direct and weaponise. Nadia saw the person underneath all of that...

Raya and Nadia's story is actually being told in tiny emotional details.And perhaps that's why their limited scenes linger so much.In very limited scenes, Yash and Kiara made us believe these two people had an entire emotional history outside the frame.

Yeah...That is what makes Nadia's fate so heartbreaking. But I don't think she was making a rational choice at that point. She was exhausted, deeply broken, carrying years of guilt, abandonment and grief, lost her every passion or ambition,completely hollowed out and had reached a place where even motherhood couldn't pull her back into herself...

I have realised that the line of Raya that"sometimes someone's love becomes your entire life" stands true for Nadia as well....Raya was the one person around whom her entire emotional world had been built as well..

And I think her asking Ticket to unite with Raya wasn't really about being certain Raya would immediately know how to be a father. It was perhaps the last thing she could still do for her son i.e make sure he had a chance to know the father she had loved sooo sooo much as she no longer had the emotional capacity to imagine a future at all...

I too wish she had stayed. I wish she had taken Ticket and simply left Goa. A quiet life somewhere far away from Raya's world, raising the child who was a piece of both of them...I wish she had given herself that chance.... Alas..💔

And perhaps that's the tragedy of Nadia..she had once been strong enough to refuse indignity, challenge Raya, and protect herself at any cost. By the end, she wasn't that woman anymore. The tragedy isn't that she chose death; it's that circumstances had taken away her ability to imagine a life worth choosing.She imagined a future for all her loved one except herself...😭
