I know right!!...it's so sad... specially i am a movie lover...If I had it in my way i would have watched one or two movies every month in theatre...But I just can't do that in this economy...

And it's harming cinema industry a great deal... Small and medium budget movies are endangered species now... because nobody is willing to spend so much money for these movies....Pre-Covid Ayushman Khurana and Raj Kumar Rao were coming up with such commercially successful projects but look at the scene today

And you just assumed that I am being anti-Dhurandhar....Nooooo.....My point is something else entirely...

Apologies if I couldn't convey my point....

And Yes.. Sholay is the biggest and most iconic classic movie ever....No other movie have touched that level in any aspect yet in my opinion....

No

I meant Bahubali 2 was mentioned because the records are in its name

Inflation and all doesn't matter because what you are talking about was high FFs of Bahubali 2 but none said Dhurandhar broke records of FFs

Those are with Sholay so when we celebrate Bahubali 2 for 1000cr nett, we don't say don't celebrate it because sholay didn't have the ticket price

FFs and box office are two different standards

Ohh okay...Got it...

See i feel when the factors and circumstances contributing to the collection are so so different then we should not even compare collections...I had said the same during BB2 as well......Comparison should be made between contemporaries who are under similar circumstances...but chalo...each to their own... again apologies if i couldn't convey it❤️

But what I am saying is Even with lower footfall collection is higher because of inflated ticket price...Same with toxic ...I don't know what the footfall was...(I am sure footfall hoga..as so many people have genuinely watched it) ..but I know that the ticket price is very very high.... Atleast the place i am living in, ticket price is really high...

I don't know if it's a decision by producers to recover whatever cost they can in first week itself...

Just because of what you elaborated, I also think that it is the footfalls that one should count and compare... not the money... hélas, the industry prefers windowdressing, especially when they make comparisons with movies with far lesser ticket prices smiley2
