She is enough and done with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi… Her last shot was on June 5 and apparently her first shot also was on the same day, exactly one year. A coincidence or a quirk of fate...either ways, Gautami Kapoor's left in the cold by her mentor who decided to give her the boot and bring in Smriti Irani.

A farewell did happen. But a day before wherein the unit members got her favorite chocolate cake and suprised an emotionally wraught Gautami. And that caught our actress unawares so much so, that she decided to splurge on a luncheon fare for her unit members.

In case you are wondering if Smriti Irani chose to make her presence felt, our very own television diva decided to skip the party nor did she extend any of her good wishes. Sure looks like Smriti's character stays with her on the sets. When we asked Gautami on Smriti's diva like behaviour, Gautami magnanimously defended Smriti by saying that such things are part of the industry and it would be hard to keep a track of all the characters in a show like Kyunki…who join and leave. So Gautami didn't mind Smriti's absence and has taken it sportively.
Too sugary and syrupy for our taste, don't you agree!

Now after leaving the show she claims that she will miss the entire unit of Balaji Telefilms. The actor holds no grudges against Balaji and infact considered "'Kyunki…' as a tremendous challenge and a wonderful opportunity to rediscover herself. The last words of an actor who's been used and dumped by the Balaji coterie.
