Choti anu and Maya casting was fantastically done. They look so same

It always made my flabber gasted that choti anu basically told upma that because of her mummy papa are fighting so she's going away to keep peace. Not one response from upma where she's like it's nothing like that. Nope. She didn't even say that maya can live in same house as anuj said. As anuj said upma couldn't wait to get rid of the kid fast enough

The entire epi of aap pagal hogye hai kya kapadiya ji and then Anuj 's truth bombs. It started her disgusting snot filled pallu yuck. What did she expect. She really pushes people's button and then victimize herself. Gaslighter #1

Anuj carried this anger until he again turned to upma. And again she focused on shahs more than choti anu. And again post leap anuj was running after his ex wife and accusing his teenage daughter of doing drama faking her panic attacks. Anuj turned so vile. It's not even romantic, it's disgusting. He really shouldn't have adopted the kid. Rahi's life is fcked thanks to anuj.

Whatever happened to anuj is exactly what he deserves. I think he died / went missing not knowing about adhya. Serves him right

I was re-watching old epis just to see how much anupama suffered. This is the first serial on itv where she suffered first and now she's a criminal roaming around ruining everyone's lives

The overacting really starts around anuj track. Especially the parts where upma leaves shah house like 5 times in a week and everytime it's treated as end of world. One time when she adopted choti anu/ rahi there was a big tamasha in shah house and baa was like you can't have both the houses, you can't be half shah and half kapadia. And shameless upma says agar main ye ghar mein nhi ayungi to jhagra nhi hoga kya?

It's not about the kids or family. She's in love with the house itself. To meet kids she could bring them in kapadia house. Meet them in a cafe or something. She can meet ba babuji in park or temple. But she had to go to shah house. It's a atoot love story of upma freeloader and the shah house.

In the initial epis audience wasn't shoved various characters who does anu's free lawyergiri 247. She suffers and stands up for herself. Acting is still bad before the divorce track but anu does things for herself like she stops taking care of vanraj etc. It starts getting irritated with kinjal who has no character of herself. She's so in love with her 2 days ki saas lol. All the time she jumps in, and let's her own marriage suffer. It's so funny she still staying in shah house and didn't take divorce from toshu lol

Then we had Devika and Kavya. Atlst devika was cameo she would come once in 6 months. Kavya upma's kabhi sautan kabhi saheli drama yuck

There was also babuji and baa's brother. Useless fellows. But again it was shown in small doses of comedy. They mostly stayed quiet during drama especially the mamaji character. They are unbearable now. The entire gang of ansh ishani + babuji. They can make a temple of upma in stead of kanhaji i guess, why bother the god

Rakhi dave was goat as always. She was also nice, one time she hugged upma and said her problem is she thinks only about herself, and upmas problem is she thinks about others too much. They tried to make rakhi dave vamp. They could never make us hate you queen 🥳

That epi where baa insults her brother and babuji is so unhinged lmao. Hella entertaining. Really showed babuji's aukat. But baa had to apologize and now all goody goody 🤣🤣

The problem with the writing now is that they don't write for anyone apart from upma and her current love angle. Toshu pakhi was nice in many instances. Toshu's frustration about the daily drama was valid. Pakhi many times apologized and during the affair truth supported upma. Samar was maa ka chamcha but one time vanraj really showed his aukat that Samar is a failure but vanraj had the experience, he constructed the house and feeds everyone. Epic scene that was. Samar wasn't unbearable like ansh ishani these days.

Even the siblings felt real. Pakhi always called samar winter. The boys fought physically. Toshu also used to feed Samar. Vanraj didn't like samar dancing but we could feel the love of a father to his son. Samar would speak a lot of shit but once vanraj would get pissed samar will start shaking. Samar would make pakhi understand her wrongdoing towards upma. Toshu will defend kinjal from pakhis taunts. This generation of cousins can never

The family felt real. The way vanraj would sit on that particular end of table as the man of house. Baa's love for vanraj, blind but also she could see his truth. Vanraj would respect baa babuji. His realisation later that he has wronged anupama even with his ulterior motive. Upma defending vanraj to samar and like you can't be disrespectful to your father. Pakhi was vanraj's favorite but if he's angry she won't dare to get near him. Even dolly felt like the relative that keeps coming and going. She said to upma to forgive vanraj. She was also the one who told baa to give upma blessing for her remarriage. These were proper characters whose bond was actually shown to us. These days episodes are kalesh without any substance. Unnecessary low class chawl sadakchap drama

This khudka ghar thing was shown from epi 1. The way vanraj will always say ye mera ghar hai. Epi 1 anupama was crying and said ye mera ghar nhi hai. It's funny writers pulled the current track idea out of trenches lol but of course they don't give any thought to writing itself. Takes the epis one day at a time.

The strongest actor of the show was sudhansu. The scenes where vanraj would lose his shit and show people their aukat wers always best one. Followed by gaurav of course. Baa is also good. She holds her scenes really well. Og pakhi toshu was good when writing let them shine.

In front of gaurav/anuj it really shows how badly acted anupama is. After marriage it's just unbearable. Her extreme soory soory. What's wrong with pronuncing it correctly, does writers think it's cute or something? Her shaking making faces in emotional scenes. Happy scenes she's tolerable

Once the divorce happened and anuj entered it's almost like anu did everything just to spite people around her lol. Baa vanraj said not to work with anuj she did. They were like don't marry she did. They shamed her for having affair and she's like I won't justify you guys are shit. Her kids were unhappy with fostering choti anu she did. And to spite everyone she cut her own nose. Anuj was a true decent man who always stood up for her , and she couldn't support him the way she should have. It's so unfair to anuj and the effects are here in next generation. The way anuj always stood by her, supported her, worried about her, she didn't even do 1% of it. It's funny to see her crying about him now

Compared to anuj who had gk, malvika, his love for anu, his desire for choti anu, digvijay is blank paper. His existence is for anupama. He has no life no job no ambition without her. It's pathetic. Diggy has dialogues about he's a sportsman..what sports he played anyway? How to live in strangers houses with your maid like freeloaders?? Yuck

And they showed us babuji thinks he's vanraj part 2. Like come on. Vanraj was Ravan. He's the baddest bitch. He's also the king. Diggy wiggy can never. Not even nail's worth of vanraj shah who was back!!!

Waise vanraj said back in those epis that he's the house and without him house will crumble. So true. His absence is felt dearly. Even in his hatred he had a standard. He hated anuj anupama and taunted them but his anger never went to choti anu, he was sweet to her. Actually everyone was. With malvika too he manipulated her but he was clear he didn't love her and she knew it. His planning plotting was out for everyone to see. Even with rakhi dave he used to taunt back but his shouting was enough. Upma with her 1000 pages bhasan can't match upto savage king lol. It don't hit hard. It's irritating

True Baa, Anuj and Vanraj were really great actors. Also yeah Pakhi and Toshu were bad but they weren’t ridiculously cartoonish. Toshu DID love Samar and Pakhi. Also Pakhi was shown as a character who was clearly the least evil among Baa Vanraj Toshu and Pakhi’s quartet. Also there was possibility of her genuinely reforming and she clearly did love her mother. Pakhi and Samar dynamic was really cute and believable. Heck she seemed closer to him than Toshu. Toshu was clearly worse than her as a person. She never gave her mother baddua at least. People are right about Shah family being foul and guttermouth but they weren’t straight up money obsessed gold diggers all the time. Baa Pakhi and Toshu didn’t actually want Upmaa to marry Anuj especially Pakhi who had a real emotional believable and valid reaction to both her parents’ second marriages. It was Anupamaa and Bapuji who always took decisions that didn’t feel relatable or real at all. Heck many times Rakhi Dave actually felt like a well wisher of Upmaa who didn’t clearly act like a bhakt and they maintained that at the end when she said that u may have divorced Vanraj but u failed to divorce Baa. Before Malti Devi the mother track, show at least had a head and a tail. It wasn’t main lead Anupamaa or her supporter Bapuji who made this show. It was Baa, Vanraj, OG Pakhi, OG Toshu, Kavya, Kinjal, Rakhi Dave, Anuj, Malvika and Nandini. U know it’s really bad when the person who cheated aka Ankush Kapadia is portrayed as a good person while his wife was portrayed as the main vamp. Had Upmaa asked Samar and Pakhi to shift to Kapadia house and become a blended family with Anuj, they would have agreed. If Armaan Sa can become father of 16 year old Mukti, Anuj Kapadia can adopt 16 year old Pakhi and be her father. Samar was always wronged by Vanraj and loved Anuj genuinely like S1 Karan loved Tulsi. Had Anuj reciprocated his love with all his heart and treated him like HIS son, Samar would have supported him over Upmaa even if he was the poor one. Samar Anuj Kapadia was such a missed opportunity.
