Namit has this dream or expectation that this movie will become a global phenomenon like Avaatar or Avengers etc. Depending on how he’s gone about contract details, not just with Indian stars and production team but also outside of India which gets paid in dollars, the marketing plans, distribution deals etc on top of actual production costs and actors’ fees he may have spent 4000. Is it possible he lied? Yes. But it’s also possible he was telling the truth. Regardless, it was definitely stupid of him to mention that number on record. It’s biting him in the a$$ right now.

namit has gone into vfx overload, he wanted to show his vfx so much, that he has included it into every frame of this movie. The whole Forrest is vfx, even inside sets have vfx, which was not needed. Go to real locations, make the sets entirely real. Even the sky and landscapes are vfx, why? When you can show the real sky, real rivers.

Even in Dune they went to real deserts, and the actors are reacting to real weather, real winds, thats why it looks realistic.

The crowds in many of the shots look fake and as if they have repeated the same people, especially the shot of raavan looking at the crowd

Odyssey which is supposed to be on Greek Mythology did not use this much CGI nor budget ($250 million), yet the movie crossed $750 million in world wide Box Office just in 14 days. They have shot in many real locations plus the Cyclops scenes were done using puppets (like old school of movie making). The Giants scene was done using taller stunt men/women inside the costume. The production house used lot of real people for the war scenes.

I also read what you posted about the budget reducing from 4000 crore rupees ( $418 million) to 1800 crore rupees ($188 million) for 2 parts.
What is true about this movie?
Also, I find the entire cast a complete mismatch.
I am feeling bad that the stories that I grew up reading, listening, watching on TV (simple and sweet version by Ramanand Sagar) and part of my growing years is being butchered and clobbered. How the heck is this depiction going to reach the worldwide audience and make money like the producers are claiming?


Disclaimer: I am not anyone’s fan in BW. I simply want to watch good movies and don’t want the epics of India ruined for the sake of boxoffice.

So he is shown wearing a weird armor made of wood but Shri Rama was given a gold armor by Agastya Rishi during Vanvas and that's what he wore in his fight with Khara and his 14000 demons
