For that Sid has to be Saahil’s son, which he isn’t. Tripti might also be his stepmom. Karan mentioned they hadn’t met in years and so it’s probably possible that this friend had a different wife before and they either got divorced or she died and the friend remarried and was unlucky enough to bump into Tripti.

It makes sense now though why when he made an entry in SN there was a brief instance where we saw a dark sky with lightning as if he’s gonna usher in a new storm in the future, which makes sense if Tulsi literally invited him in SN and now thanks to Samaira and Sid’s relationship Tripti will be back in their lives.

Karan was already depressed about his son(s), now he will have panic attacks or anxiety attacks about his daughter knowing Tripti is her saas as he would forever be worried about her safety.

Tripti being Sid's step mom , still the relationship is bhai Behn kind. Is Tripti the mom of Dev?? if yes the equation is still be very foreign.

I think this track has 2 possibilities.one is sid samaira as a lovely couple and the boy chosen by karan is a jerk.or sid is faking love and trapping samaira following Tripti's instruction.

Whatever is there must have happened when he was coming to India to see Tulsi as Karan wrote letter then. Mihir was still fine right until Parth shooting day as TuHir were mentioned and shown taking to each other over the phone multiple times a day until the day Tulsi decides to go to jail. So something must have happened the day Parth dies and next/same day when Tulsi decides to go to jail. That’s if makers are going by logic

I think the sequence will be that Mihir heard the news of the deaths of his grandsons and obviously he heard that Tulsi had claimed that she shot and killed Parth at least, though she denies shooting Rio; he’s a man who has to be at least in his 70s if not older at that point and of course the news shocked him. He probably suffered a stroke immediately going into shock at the losses and of course the idea of history repeating itself all over again. The stroke probably was major and has since caused him severe health issues.

For all we know he maybe paralysed partially and be bedridden from the aftermath of it. At least that’s my guess. The brothers have kept the news to themselves about Mihir’s condition because they were worried about the family getting affected by his condition so soon after they were dealing with the deaths. The elders aka Gayatri and her generation were kept in the dark because they were afraid someone of them can die from shock and there were literally 3 women pregnant simultaneously in the family though not at SN - Munni, Vrinda and Saloni.

Since then the news has been their secret because at this point they don’t know how to discuss this with the family without revealing that they knew this all along and kept it from them. It’s their burden to bear and also why despite all their arguments neither one of them can’t bring themselves to leave SN because when it comes down to it, both brothers have been affected and are afraid of losing their dad. Ironically, they’re arguing like cats and dogs day in and day out since god knows when and yet they still count on each other to handle this and want to be around each other for that beneath it all.

It’s kinda ridiculous that this is my favourite part about this leap - the dynamic between the brothers despite their differences. How Mihir is the thread uniting them though they’re at odds courtesy of Tulsi. Somewhere Gautam understands Karan is in a lot of pain but he refuses to stop hoping that Karan will remember he’s their mom’s favourite child though she doesn’t show it as much and how he adores her too. Gautam’s way of doing it is to needle Karan though because he can’t talk with him like Saahil. Karan keeps screaming and yelling he hates Tulsi but beneath it he’s a son hurt and confused because he doesn’t understand why his mom would hurt his child so and him by extension. Tulsi gave him a story’s end but she didn’t give him the lead-up to that and it’s haunting him in his every single moment.

We don’t know who is Dev’s mom because he literally got married and had a kid without his mom popping up in a single ceremony that matters in any of these things in all these years. Saahil married Tripti in S1 but they never had a biological kid. Saahil’s got 3 kids too technically per S1 but that’s been changed in this season. In S1 he was Nakul’s adoptive dad, had a biological son called Lakshya with Ganga and had raised the son of his business partner who died with his wife called Joydeep.

Now he has a son called Dev and a daughter called Diya and we got a name drop for Ganga only now after he shifted to SN to at least confirm that they have retained this part of the canon of S1 but no idea who the mother of these new kids is or was. Ganga is not seen even now; we also heard that Diya is gonna be flying in soon but there has been no mention of Ganga dropping by anywhere. So we don’t even know if at this point if she’s dead or alive or Saahil got a third one.

If Dev and Diya are biologically related to Tripti then her stepson marrying Samaira will be of course weird and gross but when has that ever stopped Ekta and this family? If she’s Sid’s stepmom or aunt while she has no biological child/children with Saahil, this marriage will still be a bit weird but not as icky as it would’ve been before.

PS - regarding Nandini not knowing what’s going on with her kids - it’s because she’s too busy with her guilt courtesy of the one she shot and has not come clean about probably.

Dunno, we can’t know what is going on with her parenting until there’s some focus on it.
