Karan had realised that Sahil Ganga love each other(before they themselves did) so he used this pressure tactics to make them confess

No her marriage was never arranged with Karan but he was considered as a prospective groom for her and since he was seen as Saahil’s friend who had also developed a good rapport with Ganga, I think it was Tulsi and Baa who thought Karan would be a good match for her.

Tulsi talked with Karan and asked him to take his time to make sure he was ready if he accepted to the proposal. Karan knew by then that Saahil was in love with Ganga as was she, but that neither was willing to take the initiative to make their relationship official and confess their feelings to each other.

Karan basically blackmails them to confess to each other else he would tell Tulsi he will marry Ganga and actually go through with it too Ganga wasn’t as sure if he was bluffing or not but Saahil felt threatened because he knew Karan to be a man of his word especially when it came to deadlines and challenges. That’s how they confessed.

Karan later gets Tulsi to understand that though these 2 have been related but Ganga has never consummated her marriage with Gautam therefore the past shouldn’t be held against her and it mustn’t be allowed to spoil more lives. Gautam had already erred when he didn’t come clean about being in love with Teesha when he had the chance and Ganga unfortunately became a victim of his actions. Now if the family decides to get Saahil married to another girl just because they’re afraid of the society, they’ll make sure that there’s another Ganga in their home all over again and this time they’ll do so knowingly. He made Tulsi ponder wouldn’t it be better to bring two people who love each other together rather than ruin more lives. Ganga may not be their responsibility or even family if they so wish from this point on, but would they be able to see Saahil miserable? He may marry someone else out of pressure or to please his family but would it be fair to that girl if Saahil was in love with Ganga and not her. Wouldn’t it be repeating history and now making sure that Saahil was at least unhappy even if he stayed loyal to his wife.

Tulsi had no way to counter Karan and so she decided to make the family agree to the match and got these two married.

Sigh, I miss the days when even Tulsi was not seen as so high and mighty always. Karan was probably the only one who was able to get through to her in the way she can with everyone else. Now it’s like Tulsi can do and never be wrong. Even now I find this absurd idea of Nakul Vaishnavi as a forced narrative. In what world will this match be supported even irl? Vaishnavi is innocent regarding what happened to her but this show tries to keep on justifying this wife swap between brothers as if it’s the most normal and natural thing in the world.

Tulsi was always great but back then Smriti was more or less ordinary so Tulsi making mistakes was possible...

Now Smriti is untouchable so no way Tulsi could be wrong

I think it’s not just Smriti but this whole formula of the heroine is always right no matter what done on Indian TV regardless of the channel or the actress in question.

I mean look at Anupama, I know it’s the same channel and yes technically Rupali is in BJP too but she’s politically irrelevant. But have you seen her character being held responsible for her actions regardless of what she does and happens courtesy of her? It’s not like other people can’t be exasperated with her. She was seen as a victim of the cruel treatment she received from her MIL and her first husband but what about her doing the same thing to her second husband and their adopted daughter? Anuj had only one expectation from his wife - to have him and their daughter as the most important people in her life. When she leaves him heartbroken and disappointed he’s made to see it as a bad decision and a wrong one but she is never made to realise her errors and make sure she doesn’t repeat her mistakes again.

Right now too there’s this whole holier than thou attitude thing about Tulsi whereas Karan is being made to seem like he’s some kind of evil person but he’s a man who has lost 2 adult sons simultaneously without any idea, explanation or justification let alone the truth, how else is he supposed to behave exactly? Forget a lie, there’s no clarity beyond the fact that Tulsi confessed to the murder that he has. He doesn’t even have an inkling about the truth. Tulsi hasn’t even cooked as much as a single line of lie like I saw him shoot Rio, somehow he got distracted or something when I confronted him and then I shot him in self-defence or whatever.

Had Tulsi herself been told that Savita or Mansukh had killed 2 of her sons and she had no idea as to why they would do something like that, even she would have hated her MIL/FIL even if she hadn’t made Mihir break ties with his other parent and the rest of the family too.
