He actually tried to kill Nandani once because he felt she is the cause his parents aren't really together. Karan got him arrested but Nandani denied to testify against him so he was released. When Manthan got to know this, he reached out to Nandani on why she did so, when she said that him being the son of Karan & Tanya and the brother of her daughter is no less than a son to her.

After that he realized that the situation is not that straight. He also started loving Nandani as his mom.

Unfortunately the actor left mid way so he was no further explored, otherwise he was having a good character arc and development
