I wonder why they don't dub her voice like how they did for Katrina for years.
I saw her movie Girlfriend and I feel she can act well, talent toh hai. But for Bollywood she needs to work on Hindi diction.

Not everyone can have Katrina's luck. First of all she had white skin which we Indians worship. She also had Salman's support, danced well, her pair with Akki clicked.
Rashmika is a good actor but if she genuinely wants a prosperous career in Hindi, she should hire a Hindi diction coach. This is doable and for someone who charges in crores, this she can easily improve on.
Rashmika works in all industries so its not like she is going to stick with bollywood only. If a script is good in hindi & she likes it,she will take up otherwise she will stay strong with her roots. She is not dependant with bollywood.
As for the film, the SM & the critics are dumb enough to not even notice that the Tujhko song did reveal she is playing a south indian and also suhaag raat scene when she talked in that accent, cutely Shahid imitates her. So here they are stupid not dive in deeper to watch the film that it was already revealed that she plays a south indian in the film, but those mahaan critics & SM idiots were invested in bras bikini looks of Kriti to even notice that small nuances of Shahid & Rashmika's characters. Even Kriti's character has nuances that should be discussed but they are discussing about her glamour bikini and bras and how stunning she is instead of the grey shade character she played.
Rashmika performance as Diya was amazing so was her beautiful chemistry with Shahid. She literally lived Diya & her accent was no way that bad. It was good & also she plays herself,a south indian girl in the film. So its fine
She worked with Siddharth Ranbir Vicky Ayushmaan Salman & now Shahid, her best chemistry is with Shahid. They look so natural & beautiful together.
She does not need bollywood but bollywood needs her to expand hindi films to south. South still does not accept hindi films in their belt Cocktail 2 is working amazingly in south especially in Bangalore is due to Rashmika otherwise its a flop there.
Sridevi Hema Malini Rekha Jaya Prada Vyjanthi Mala Deepika Padukone Rajinikanth Kamal Hassan Sruthi Hassan Janvi Kapoor Gautami Revathi Rashmika etc. They are all south indian but they take an effort to learn & understand hindi that shows their hardwork and their native place is south of course even learning the language they will definitely has accent. Its not one day or a 4-5 films they will ace the language. It takes time & patience.
Why north bimbos who are starring in south cinema learn tamil kannada telugu and malayalam to work in south. Do not dub i want to hear what accent they bring in south language.
Its easy to criticise someone.for a accent but hypocricy they still want to work in south be it any fields. Thats hypocricy
Anyways the backlash is from SM idiots and critics who saw the movie with the lens of bra & bikini of Ally to notice other characters. Those genuine viewers loved her character & the climax & ending of Kunal & Diya and also loved the chemistry between Shahid & Rashmika

But aren't there more hints in the movie - except the family name - that allude to Telugu roots? (e.g. connecting her character to Hyderabad)
Rashmika quoted the name as diya reddy on her social media account before release this was not done
Massive backlash for Kriti Sanon's Overacting in Cocktail 2.
Your Thoughts?
Sounds like some kind of internal-BW-politicking for Kriti, and it always backfires! 😁

I mean in the movie... in the conversations... no hint at all?
I saw the movie could only hear diya as her name the conversations were boring so was not getting any interest just finished the movie for the sake of it later while browsing X saw one post from rashmika where she mentioned her full name as Diya Reddy in the movie I thought why is she mentioned now after release maybe because of people pointing it out of her accent
Well, if you didn't really listen, you may not have heard hints to Diya's Telugu roots
Maybe others noticed something?
