Tragedy On Love And War Set
Trailer - Baby Do Die Do
Tanya never had a good relationship with Rohan. Ajit will be a far better person.
Ajit gets a second chance at love. Tanya does too. Maybe Rohan did them both a favor.
Pari has her eye on a prize that may never be hers the way she imagines.
Rohan now sees the truth behind Pari. He is no better, but now he knows his money was the reason she liked him.
Chapter 16
INT. SIPPY MANSION – LIVING ROOM – DAY
All heads snap toward the staircase as Tanya's voice rings out.
She stands tall, one hand gently supporting her baby bump, the other resting lightly on Pooja's arm for balance. Her expression is calm yet resolute. There's a quiet strength in her gaze that commands the room.
A flashback plays in her mind—Pooja quietly telling her that Rohan and Pari are downstairs, and that Pari is pregnant. Tanya had taken a deep breath and composed herself, refusing to let the past shake her anymore.
Now, she walks down the stairs, slow but purposeful. Everyone watches in stunned silence.
Veena rushes forward. "Tanya! What was the need to come down? We were handling it, beta."
Tanya stops near the foot of the stairs, shaking her head gently. "I know, Mamma. You were all trying to handle the situation in a way that would protect me. And I'm grateful for that. But that's exactly why I needed to come down... to tell you that I have no objection to Pari and Rohan staying here."
Mohini is the first to react. "But Tanya, you're nearly due. You could go into labour any moment. How can we take such a risk by keeping Rohan and Pari around—especially when their presence can cause you stress?"
Tanya holds her ground. "Exactly why I want them here, Badi Mamma. Because I need to show them—and everyone—that I've moved on. That Rohan's presence or absence has no power over my peace anymore."
Rohan is visibly taken aback, eyes widening at her words. Pari stiffens beside him, glaring.
Tanya turns to Veena, Mohini, Sonakshi, and Pooja, her voice unwavering. "I've said it clearly—I have no issue with them staying here. Pari too is pregnant with a Sippy child. And that gives her the same rights I had, doesn't it?"
She turns to Pari now, a soft but cutting sarcasm in her tone. "Isn't that right, Pari?"
Pari seethes in silence, her jaw clenched, unable to respond.
Tanya looks to Veena once again. "If that's all, Mamma... may I go rest now?"
Veena, still digesting the moment, nods quietly. Tanya turns and slowly climbs back upstairs with Pooja's support. Pari watches her leave with silent fury, thinking to herself:
"What does she think she is—the queen of this mansion? That we need her permission to stay here? I'll show her her place."
Her thoughts are interrupted as Veena turns sharply.
"Now that Tanya has made her stand clear, we won't oppose your stay here. But let me make one thing absolutely clear—you may have been allowed into this house, but not into our hearts. So don't expect warmth or acceptance."
With that, she walks away. Sonakshi follows, while Mohini gives Pari and Rohan one final disapproving look before leaving as well.
Left alone, Rohan turns to Pari. "You finally got what you wanted—entry into the Sippy Mansion. But now that we're here, please, don't stir up trouble. Stay calm, avoid provoking Tanya, and try to earn everyone's respect. Can you do that?"
He leaves before she can answer.
Pari mutters under her breath, her fists clenching. "I'm sorry, Rohan... but I won't stay silent. Tanya will pay for that humiliation."
INT. SIPPY HOSPITAL – CONFERENCE ROOM – DAY
Ajit stands confidently before a panel of high-profile clients, explaining in detail the advanced equipment and facilities of the Sukumani Sippy Hospital.
Seated nearby are YK, Rohit, Naren, and Nishi—all watching him with pride and surprise.
YK leans toward Rohit and says, "Wow... that was brilliant. Ajit has really evolved since his marriage. He's more responsible, more grounded. I don't know whether to credit him or Tanya."
Rohit smiles. "Credit goes to both. Ajit has stood by her through everything, and she's helped him grow into the man he is now."
Naren joins in, proud. "So my decision to get them married... wasn't a mistake, was it, Rohit?"
Rohit raises an eyebrow, muttering under his breath, "For once, Naren Sippy got something right."
Naren glances over. "Did you say something?"
Rohit quickly shakes his head, just as Ajit wraps up his presentation.
Applause erupts. The clients are thoroughly impressed and express interest in collaborating with the hospital.
Ajit is overwhelmed, a proud smile forming on his lips. He silently recalls Tanya's encouragement the night before—how she had placed his hands on her belly and jokingly said their baby was cheering him on. That memory fills him with warmth.
As soon as the meeting ends, he pulls out his phone and calls Tanya.
INT. AJIT AND TANYA'S BEDROOM – SIPPY MANSION – DAY
Tanya hears her phone buzzing on the nightstand. She's just about to answer when there's a knock at the door.
Opening it, she's surprised to see Pari standing there.
Back at the hospital, Ajit grows worried when the call goes unanswered. He walks over to Rohit.
"She's not picking up..."
Rohit grins and hands him his own phone. "Don't worry. I'll call Sonakshi. She'll check on her."
Moments later, Sonakshi walks up to Tanya's room—and is shocked to see Pari inside, facing Tanya. She quietly stays by the door, unnoticed, listening.
Pari is livid. "How dare you insult me like that downstairs? You act so righteous, but let's not forget—you married Ajit for the same reason I married Rohan. For money!"
Sonakshi is stunned. So is Ajit, who hears it all through the speaker on Rohit's phone.
And just then—Tanya gasps loudly, gripping her stomach.
"Aaaahhh!"
Her water breaks.
Sonakshi bolts inside. "TANYA!"
Pari steps back in panic.
Rohit grabs Ajit's hand. "Let's go. She's in labour."

Chapter 17
INT. TANYA AND AJIT'S BEDROOM – SIPPY MANSION – DAY
Tanya let out a piercing scream of pain. Alarmed, Sonakshi dropped her phone and rushed to her side, holding her gently as she asked, "What happened, Tanya?"
Back at the hospital, Ajit's voice crackled through the phone, laced with panic, "Hello? Bhabhi? Tanya? Anyone there? Please, someone tell me what's happening!"
Rohit, YK, Naren, and Nishi turned around, startled by Ajit's frantic tone. Tanya gripped Sonakshi's hand and said through gritted teeth, "Bhabhi... I think the time has come!"
Sonakshi's eyes widened, but she quickly helped Tanya lie down carefully on the bed. Shooting a sharp glance at Pari, she rushed out of the room. Reaching the staircase landing, she shouted, "Mamma! Badi Mamma! Pooja! Vimmi! Everyone, please come fast!"
Hearing the urgency in her voice, the family members gathered in the living room, including Rohan. Sonakshi breathlessly announced, "Tanya's labour pains have started!"
The room fell into a stunned silence before Mohini, Pooja, and Vimmi sprang into action, hurrying upstairs. Veena stayed behind to make a phone call.
INT. SIPPY HOSPITAL – CONFERENCE ROOM – SAME TIME
Ajit stood frozen, tension etched across his face. When YK asked him what was wrong, Ajit answered, "I don't know what's happening exactly... but I have this gut feeling—Tanya's labour has started!"
As the others processed his words, Naren's phone rang. He picked it up and was met with Veena's voice on the other end, confirming Ajit's instincts. "Tanya's labour has begun, Naren," she said urgently.
Naren's mouth fell open. "Bring her here as soon as possible," he instructed. Hanging up, he turned to the others and announced, "Ajit was right—Tanya's labour has started."
Ajit immediately stepped forward, anxiety clouding his face. "I need to go home. There are only women there right now—Tanya needs me."
As he made to leave, a hand caught his wrist. Ajit turned, surprised to see Naren holding him back.
"No, Ajit," Naren said firmly, "you should stay here. Veena and Sonakshi will handle everything and bring Tanya safely. And you know how Mumbai traffic is—you could get stuck and miss her delivery altogether. Just stay here and be ready."
Ajit stopped, visibly torn, then gave in with a heavy sigh, thinking, "I'm really sorry, Tanya. I promised I'd always be by your side, and yet I'm not there when you need me the most. Please forgive me."
INT. TANYA'S ROOM – SIPPY MANSION – MOMENTS LATER
Tanya cried out in pain as Sonakshi held her, whispering softly, "It's okay, Tanya... just stay calm, don't lose confidence."
Pari stood nearby, confused and unsettled, just as Mohini, Vimmi, Rohan, and Pooja entered. Mohini asked, "But her due date isn't for a few more days. How did this happen?"
Sonakshi's eyes narrowed toward Pari, recalling her earlier accusation that Tanya had married Ajit for the Sippy wealth. She was about to speak when Tanya, catching her wrist, shook her head and softly whispered, "No."
Tanya then addressed the room through shallow breaths, "I... I don't know, Badi Mamma. I was just resting when the pain started... AAAHHH!"
Everyone rushed to comfort her. Suddenly, they heard the wail of an ambulance siren.
Veena burst in, slightly breathless. "I informed Naren. He sent the hospital ambulance immediately. Let's get Tanya to the hospital—now!"
The family moved quickly to help. Rohan stepped forward and offered, "I'll take Tanya downstairs."
Pari froze, mouth agape, as Rohan approached. Tanya glared at him and snapped, "I don't need your help."
Veena intervened, her voice firm but gentle, "Tanya, don't let your ego get in the way right now. You're in need. Let Rohan help you."
After a brief pause, Tanya reluctantly nodded. Rohan carefully lifted her into his arms. Pari watched, fuming, while Sonakshi noticed her shifting expression.
As the others left the room, Sonakshi grabbed Pari's arm and hissed, "If it weren't for Tanya, I would've told everyone the truth—that you're responsible for this situation. I'm warning you, Pari—don't you dare hurt her again. Because if you do, you'll see the worst side of me."
Without waiting for a response, she stormed off. Pari stood frozen, fists clenched in fury.
INT. SIPPY HOSPITAL – NIGHT
Ajit paced the hospital corridor anxiously, eyes fixed on the entrance. Naren coordinated with junior doctors and nurses to prep the labour room. Rohit, YK, and Nishi stood close by, watching Ajit.
Rohit walked over and clapped his younger brother on the back, teasing, "Relax, Ajit. It looks like you're the one in labour, not Tanya. Just breathe, okay?"
Ajit gave a shaky smile, inhaled deeply, and nodded. Still, his eyes kept darting toward the hospital doors.
EXT. MUMBAI ROADS – INSIDE AMBULANCE – NIGHT
The ambulance sped toward the hospital. But just a kilometre away, it came to a screeching halt—stuck in a traffic jam.
Panic erupted inside. Family members pleaded with the driver to move faster. Tanya screamed louder in agony, the pain intensifying.
With tension reaching its peak, Rohan suddenly stood up, bent down, and without a word, lifted Tanya in his arms. Before anyone could stop him, he stepped out of the ambulance and began running toward the hospital.
Gasps followed him, but the others quickly followed. Pari stood behind, consumed by jealousy at Rohan's concern for Tanya.
INT. SIPPY HOSPITAL – ENTRANCE – MOMENTS LATER
All heads turned as Rohan came rushing in, Tanya in his arms, moaning in pain. Ajit's heart sank at the sight, but he masked his hurt and rushed forward.
As doctors placed Tanya on a stretcher, a young nurse—new to the hospital—looked around and asked innocently, "Who is the father of the child?"
Everyone froze.
Rohan opened his mouth to speak—but before he could utter a word, Tanya, through her pain, cried out clearly:
"Ajit Sippy! Ajit Sippy is the father of my child!"

Chapter 18
Outside the Labour Room – Sippy Hospital
"Tanya's voice rang out, sharp and clear: 'Ajit Sippy! Ajit Sippy is the father of my child!'"
Everyone stood stunned for a moment—frozen by the weight of her declaration. Slowly, expressions of relief and joy spread across the family's faces. Smiles broke out one by one... all except for Rohan and Pari. Rohan's face fell as if the ground had slipped beneath him. Without a word, he stepped back, distancing himself from the woman he once called his own.
Ajit, however, stepped forward, kneeling beside Tanya and gently brushing her hair back. Holding her hand tightly, he whispered with affection, "Why are you crying, Tanya? Our baby's coming into the world—that's why she's kicking. She's just telling you she's ready."
Tanya smiled through her tears, her pain momentarily dulled by his warmth. Rohan, watching silently, winced at the sound of Ajit saying our baby, a phrase that once belonged to him.
The nurses wheeled Tanya towards the labour room. Ajit followed, refusing to let go of her hand until they reached the doors. Naren stepped in, gesturing for him to stop. Ajit nodded reluctantly, offering Tanya a reassuring smile. "Don't worry at all. You're one of the strongest women I know, and you're going to bring our baby into this world safely." Tanya smiled and gave his hand a final squeeze before letting go.
As the doors closed behind her, Ajit stood motionless, eyes fixed on the glass windows, waiting.
Behind him, YK, Rohit, and Nishi noticed Rohan and Pari's presence for the first time. Rohit frowned and turned to Veena. "Mom, what are Rohan and Pari doing here?"
Ajit spun around, his eyes narrowing in curiosity. Veena, Pooja, Sonakshi, and Mohini exchanged nervous glances, unsure of how to respond.
Nishi pressed further, "Yes, Bhabhi. Last we knew, you'd thrown them out. So why are they suddenly back?"
Veena sighed deeply and explained the morning's events—from Pari's surprise pregnancy to Tanya's unexpected insistence on allowing the couple to return. As she finished, silence fell over the room.
Rohit, YK, and Nishi looked thunderstruck.
Nishi snapped, "But Bhabhi, this was a huge decision. You should've at least consulted us!"
Sonakshi intervened gently, "We didn't want to disturb you all during Ajit's presentation. And... when Tanya herself said she had no objection..."
Ajit interrupted, visibly shaken. "Tanya agreed to let them come back?"
All eyes turned to him. Sonakshi, reading the conflict on his face, stepped closer. "Ajit, listen to me. Tanya didn't say yes because of any lingering feelings for Rohan. She said yes to prove to him—and to everyone—that she's moved on... with you."
Ajit's heart skipped a beat. Her words were like balm to his uncertainty, and just as he processed them, a newborn's wail echoed from inside the labour room.
All eyes widened. Ajit and Rohan instinctively rushed to the door.
Moments later, the same nurse who had earlier asked about the father stepped out, carrying a tiny bundle wrapped in pink. Both men extended their arms, but without hesitation, she placed the baby into Ajit's.
"It's a girl, Mr. Ajit Sippy," she said warmly.
Tears welled in Ajit's eyes as he stared down at his daughter for the first time. The room slowly filled with gasps and exclamations of joy as the family crowded around to glimpse the newest Sippy.
Rohan stood in the background, unnoticed, his heart cracking as he saw his daughter—his flesh and blood—held in the arms of his younger brother.
Rohit grinned and clapped Ajit on the back. "Well, look at that. The youngest Sippy brother becomes a father before the rest of us! Congratulations, little bro!"
Then, casting a sideways glance at Sonakshi, he teased, "Now if only your Bhabhi would stop checking her emails long enough to start planning our family!"
Everyone burst into laughter. Sonakshi rolled her eyes and gave Rohit a playful pinch, making him yelp in mock pain.
Veena chuckled and pressed a kiss to her fingertips before gently touching the baby's cheek. "My little granddaughter must be wondering... 'I thought I was the only baby here. But even Bade Tauji and Tai Ji are acting like toddlers!'"
The laughter continued, echoing through the hospital corridors, while Rohan stood still, silent tears rolling down his cheeks. The daughter he once dreamed of holding was now in another man's arms.
Among the celebratory chaos, Pooja asked, "Ajit, have you thought of a name for her?"
Ajit smiled tenderly at the infant and replied, "Samaira. Samaira Ajit Sippy."
The family cheered. Rohan's breath caught in his throat.
Flashback
A sunny afternoon. Rohan and Tanya lounged on their balcony.
Rohan ran a playful finger along her cheek, tucked her hair behind her ear, and said, "I think it's time we start planning for a baby."
Tanya blushed. "I want a boy... but I know how much you adore little girls. So even a girl is fine."
"Okay," he grinned, "so let's say it's a girl—what would you name her?"
Tanya thought for a second, then smiled, "Samaira. It's cute, classy... and a little magical."
Rohan beamed. "Then it's settled. Samaira Rohan Sippy."
Flashback ends.
Rohan's eyes filled with pain. So even the name we picked... you gave to him, Tanya?
His thoughts were interrupted by Pooja's excited voice. "Samaira Ajit Sippy! That sounds perfect!"
Just then, Naren entered. "Tanya is conscious. She's been moved to casualty. Ajit, you can take the baby to her now."
Ajit nodded, holding Samaira close, and followed Naren inside.
Rohan remained where he was, eyes hollow.
INT. CASUALTY ROOM – MOMENTS LATER
Tanya lay on the bed, pale and exhausted, but when she saw Ajit walk in with the baby, her face lit up. Tears streamed down her cheeks as he gently placed Samaira beside her.
"Thank you, Tanya," Ajit said quietly.
She looked at him in surprise. "For what?"
He smiled, stroking her hair. "For making me a better man. For giving me the greatest joy of my life—Samaira."
Tanya's eyes softened. As he leaned in and their foreheads nearly touched, he moved to kiss her.
But just then, a sharp sound from the door made them turn.
Rohan stood in the doorway, frozen in place.

Chapter 19
Inside the Casualty Room – Sippy Hospital
Both Ajit and Tanya froze the moment they saw Rohan standing at the door, his eyes fixed on them. The air in the room grew heavy with unspoken tension. Tanya instinctively shifted upright, while Ajit adjusted himself beside her, the sudden awkwardness unmistakable.
Rohan took slow, hesitant steps forward and said softly, "I'm sorry for walking in without knocking... but I couldn't contain the excitement. I just wanted to hold my daughter, even for a few seconds, that's all..."
Tanya's eyes darkened as memories flashed before her eyes—of Rohan abandoning her, of the cruel words he had once said. Her voice, though calm, was sharp. "She is not your daughter, Rohan... she is mine and Ajit's."
Rohan's face fell. He absorbed her words like a silent blow, but composed himself and spoke again, quieter this time. "Fine... I understand. But please, Tanya... just let me hold Samaira for a few minutes. Don't deny me that."
Tanya's eyes flared. Her mind went back to the day Rohan had severed all ties—not just with her, but with the unborn life inside her. Her voice trembled with quiet rage. "You told me once you wanted no relation with this child, Rohan. You made your choice."
Rohan was taken aback. Her words landed with finality, and the memory of that moment—his own voice cold and resolute—rushed back to him. He opened his mouth, but no words came. Guilt weighed too heavily.
Ajit, moved by his brother's silent regret, gently held Tanya's hand. "Tanya..." he said softly.
She rolled her eyes, her expression hard, but Ajit didn't let go. His silent plea, his compassion, gradually softened her stance.
After a long pause, Tanya sighed. "Fine," she muttered, "you can hold Samaira. But just for a few minutes. And remember this, Rohan—she is not your daughter. She was born as Samaira Ajit Sippy and she will carry that name her whole life."
Rohan's breath caught. The words stung, but he nodded with sad acceptance. Ajit carefully lifted the baby and placed her into Rohan's arms.
As he looked down at the tiny life in his hands, Rohan was overwhelmed. A soft smile broke through his tears. He caught Samaira's delicate finger and whispered, "Hey baby... do you know who I am?"
Tanya and Ajit stiffened. Tanya called out sharply, "Rohan..." shaking her head, silently pleading him not to cross the line.
Rohan looked up, acknowledged her with a nod, and turned back to the baby. "I'm your Chote Tau ji, Samaira," he whispered gently. "And I'm so happy to have such a beautiful niece. Welcome to the family, little one."
Tears streamed down his cheeks as he placed Samaira beside Tanya and quickly walked out of the room. Once outside, he broke down, his sobs silent but wrenching. No one from the family noticed his anguish—they were too wrapped in the happiness of welcoming a new life. But one person did.
Pari.
She walked toward him quietly, laid a hand on his shoulder. Rohan turned, and without warning, pulled her into a tight embrace, his voice breaking, "I was so wrong, Pari. I was so... wrong."
Pari, stunned, looked into his face. "What are you trying to say, Rohan? That choosing me was your mistake?"
Rohan shook his head vigorously. "No, Pari! I didn't mean that. I love you, and I left Tanya for you—but I shouldn't have walked away from my child. I had no right to cut off that bond too."
Pari frowned, voice rising. "So this is about your child? Or is it because Ajit is her father now? Or worse—because Ajit is now married to Tanya?"
Rohan blinked at the question, momentarily speechless.
"What are you saying, Pari?" he asked, confused and hurt. "I love you. I only helped Tanya during her labour because she was in pain. It had nothing to do with any leftover feelings."
Pari stepped back, her voice laced with accusation. "Then why did I see something else in your eyes? Why did it hurt to watch you care for her like that? Don't lie to me, Rohan. Maybe even you don't know what's in your heart."
Rohan reached out to touch her face, desperate to reassure her. "Pari, please... whatever I feel, it's you I've always loved. That hasn't changed."
Pari pulled away from his touch, her eyes brimming with distrust. "Maybe, maybe not. But in that moment... it felt like you still care about Tanya."
Without another word, she turned and walked away, leaving Rohan lost in thought.
No, he told himself, it's impossible that I still have feelings for Tanya... right?
At the Sippy Mansion
Veena stood at the entrance, her face glowing as she performed the aarti for Ajit, Tanya, and baby Samaira, her hands trembling with joy. Ajit and Tanya exchanged proud glances, smiling down at their daughter nestled between them.
Veena beamed, "Today, my first grandchild enters this house. A special thanks to my youngest son and daughter-in-law for bringing home the most beautiful gift of all."
Rohit grinned, teasing, "Well, Rohan and Pari will be bringing home their baby soon too... whenever that is. And as for my turn—" he looked at Sonakshi mischievously "—I'm still waiting!"
Everyone burst into laughter. Sonakshi blushed, elbowing him playfully, while Veena chuckled and kissed her fingers, gently touching the baby's forehead. "My little granddaughter must be wondering—'I thought I was the baby of the house... but even Tauji and Taiji are acting like kids!'"
Laughter filled the room. Only Rohan stood silently at the back, a hollow ache behind his eyes as he watched Ajit and Tanya share the moment that once might have been his.
Just then, the front door opened and Suman stormed in, uninvited. Veena's smile faded instantly. "What are you doing here, Suman Rastogi?" she demanded.
Suman gave a toothy grin. "Oh come on, samdhan ji! Now that both my daughters are married into your house, it's time I make this mansion my second home!"
Veena clenched her jaw, barely masking her irritation.
Sonakshi intervened. "Mamma, why are you here? You could've called."
"I'm here for Pari," Suman said curtly. "And I'm not leaving until I talk to her."
Sonakshi frowned, glancing at Pari, who nodded and quietly led her mother upstairs.
As they disappeared, Veena muttered, "I swear, something about that woman just grates on me."
Sonakshi looked up toward the staircase, a heavy feeling growing in her chest.
Upstairs – Pari's Room
Pari shut the door behind them. "Mom, I'm doing everything you asked. Why are you here checking up on me?"
Suman grabbed her daughter's hands. "Pari, I trust you completely. I'm not here to monitor anything. I came to give you good news."
Pari's eyes widened. "What news?"
"You've been selected for Director X's next film."
Pari gasped, her face lighting up. In a rush of excitement, she opened the cupboard, pulled out a bottle of liquor, and poured herself a glass.
Just as she was about to take a sip, a voice rang out.
"Pari!"
She spun around, the glass slipping slightly in her hand.
Rohan stood at the doorway, shocked.

Chapter 20
Upstairs – Pari's Room
Rohan's voice echoed again, louder this time. "Pari!"
Pari flinched, almost dropping the glass as she turned around to face him. Her expression was a mix of guilt, defiance, and irritation. "What now, Rohan?" she snapped, hastily placing the glass back on the table.
Rohan stepped inside, disbelief written all over his face. "You're pregnant, Pari! And you're drinking?"
Suman, who had been standing to the side with a smug grin moments ago, suddenly looked nervous. "Rohan, don't overreact—"
"Overreact?" he interrupted, glaring at her before turning back to Pari. "You could harm the baby! What were you thinking?"
Pari crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "It was one glass, and I didn't even drink it! And honestly, stop pretending like you care, Rohan. You didn't even care about your first child. Why act like this one matters?"
Rohan's face paled. Her words hit him like a slap. "Don't bring Samaira into this," he said through gritted teeth. "Just because I made a mistake back then doesn't mean I'll repeat it now. I want to do things right this time, Pari. But what are you doing? Hiding liquor in your wardrobe? Lying to me? Acting like this child is just some stepping stone back into the Sippy Mansion?"
Suman tried to intervene again. "Listen, Rohan—"
"No, Ma," he said sharply. "I don't want to hear another word from you either. This entire plan—everything—you, Pari, Tanya... I don't know who's playing games anymore. But this isn't what I signed up for."
Pari's lips trembled. "So what are you saying? That you regret choosing me?"
Rohan didn't answer right away. He looked at her—really looked—and saw someone he barely recognized anymore. The glamour, the ambition, the constant manipulation... it didn't match the girl he thought he loved.
"I'm saying," he began slowly, "I don't even know who you are anymore."
Pari blinked at him, stunned.
"I thought I loved you," he continued, voice low but heavy. "But lately, I feel like I'm trapped. You wanted the Sippy name. You got it. You wanted to live in the mansion. You're here. But what about the baby, Pari? Do you even care about him or her beyond being your ticket to power?"
Tears shimmered in Pari's eyes. "You think I don't care?" she whispered. "You think I planned a pregnancy just for status?"
Rohan stared at her without blinking. "Didn't you?"
Silence fell between them.
Suman let out a heavy breath. "Maybe this isn't the time for this conversation."
"No," Rohan said, his voice firm, "maybe it's exactly the time."
He turned toward the door, but paused, glancing back one last time. "Take care of yourself, Pari. And the baby. Whether we work out or not, that child deserves better."
And with that, he left—leaving behind a stunned Pari and an equally rattled Suman.
Pari sank onto the edge of her bed, her shoulders trembling. She looked at the untouched glass of liquor and shoved it off the table. It shattered on the floor—just like the illusion of control she thought she had.
Sippy Mansion – Days Later
The air inside the Sippy Mansion had grown thick—not with celebration, but with silence. Every corner echoed the sound of laughter from Tanya and Ajit's room as they doted on little Samaira. But down the hallway, in a quieter, more shadowed room, Rohan and Pari now lived like strangers.
They hardly spoke. And when they did, it was sharp, transactional.
"Did you eat?" Rohan asked one evening, not lifting his eyes from his laptop.
Pari, sitting by the dresser and brushing her hair, scoffed softly. "Why? Are you suddenly concerned again?"
Rohan sighed. "Pari, not everything needs to be a fight."
Pari turned to face him. Her eyes, once fiery with ambition, now glimmered with something closer to fatigue. "It's not a fight, Rohan. It's just... reality."
Rohan stood up, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "What does that even mean?"
Pari rose too. "It means this house—this life—it's not what I imagined. I thought being here would feel like victory. But every time I walk through these halls, all I see is her—Tanya. Her name on everyone's lips. Her laughter, her baby, her husband. And you—" she paused, swallowing hard, "you don't even look at me the way you used to."
Rohan's expression softened. "Because things have changed, Pari. We aren't the same people anymore."
"Then who are we, Rohan?" she asked, voice trembling. "Are we even together? Or are we just pretending because we're too afraid to admit this was a mistake?"
Before he could answer, a knock on the door interrupted them.
It was Sonakshi, carrying a small bowl. "Pari, Veena Mamma sent this soup for you," she said gently.
Pari gave a tight nod. "Thanks."
Sonakshi lingered. Her eyes flickered between the two of them—she sensed the heaviness, the distance. "If you two ever need to talk... really talk... I'm here," she offered softly before leaving.
As the door closed, Rohan exhaled. "She's right," he said. "We need to stop pretending."
Pari looked up at him, startled.
"I think we rushed into this," he continued, voice steady but tired. "We got caught up in anger, jealousy, the thrill of rebellion... but none of it was love. Not really."
Pari's voice was barely a whisper. "And what about the baby?"
"I'll be there," Rohan said firmly. "As a father. I won't repeat my mistake. But as for us... maybe it's time we stop forcing something that doesn't fit anymore."
Pari's lips quivered. She had chased power, name, status... but now, standing alone in that grand room, she realized how lonely it truly felt.
"Fine," she said finally. "But let's not make it a war. Let's be civil... for the child."
Rohan nodded. "Agreed."
Weeks Later – A Shift in the Dynamics
As days passed, the Sippys noticed the shift. Rohan and Pari remained under the same roof but functioned like distant acquaintances. No one commented directly, but whispers traveled.
Pari became more withdrawn. She stopped attending family dinners, rarely smiled, and spent long hours alone in her room. Only Suman noticed the quiet desperation behind her silence.
Rohan, on the other hand, found himself spending more time with Samaira. He'd often be seen in Tanya and Ajit's room, helping to rock the baby to sleep or simply watching her in awe.
Tanya observed this new side of him silently.
One evening, as she watched Rohan gently tickle Samaira's toes, Tanya spoke, "She likes you."
Rohan turned, a wistful smile on his face. "I like her too."
There was a pause.
"I'm sorry," he said suddenly.
Tanya looked surprised.
"I'm sorry for everything I put you through," Rohan continued. "For walking away, for choosing selfishness over you... and for breaking your heart."
Tanya didn't reply immediately. She rocked Samaira slowly and said, "It's taken me a long time to forgive you, Rohan. And I'm still learning how. But right now, all that matters is that Samaira is loved. Whether by me, Ajit... or you."
Rohan smiled sadly. "You've become stronger than I ever imagined."
Tanya met his gaze calmly. "Because I had no other choice."
A Few Days Later – Sippy Mansion
The atmosphere in the mansion was heavy. The joy that once echoed from Ajit and Tanya's room had dulled into cautious silence. Word had spread—something was wrong with Pari.
Rohan paced outside their room, heart pounding. The shoot she had insisted on attending despite his protests had gone far longer than expected. He had tried calling her, but she hadn't answered. And then, hours later, she had returned—pale, sweating, clutching her stomach.
She had brushed it off. Claimed it was just a cramp. Refused to go to the hospital.
But now... she was bleeding.
Sippy Hospital – Emergency Ward
Pari lay unconscious, her face ghostly pale against the white sheets. Monitors beeped frantically. Rohan stood outside the glass door, eyes wide, chest heaving. Veena, Sonakshi, and even Suman—shaken and silent—stood by him.
Naren came out a moment later, his expression grim.
Rohan rushed forward. "How is she? What's happening?"
Naren removed his gloves slowly and sighed. "Pari is stable now... but we couldn't save the baby."
Rohan staggered back as if someone had punched him.
Sonakshi gasped, covering her mouth. Veena closed her eyes, heart breaking despite her own grudges. Suman collapsed onto the bench nearby, shock finally catching up to her.
Rohan stared at Naren. "You mean...?"
Naren nodded. "She suffered a miscarriage. The combination of physical strain and... alcohol in her system triggered it."
Rohan felt his knees give way and sank onto the floor, unable to breathe.
"She was warned," Naren added, quietly. "You warned her."
Inside the Room – Moments Later
Pari stirred awake, groggy and disoriented. Her eyes fluttered open, and the first person she saw was Rohan—sitting beside her, broken.
"Rohan?" she croaked.
He looked at her, eyes red. "You're awake."
Pari blinked slowly. "The baby..."
Silence.
Her lips trembled. "Rohan, where's the baby?"
Rohan's voice was barely above a whisper. "Gone, Pari."
Her whole body jolted. "No... no that can't be..." she began sobbing, violently shaking her head. "I... I was fine! I didn't mean to hurt—"
"You didn't listen," Rohan interrupted, pain etched into every word. "I begged you to rest. To stop drinking. But you wanted the spotlight more than the safety of our child."
Pari clutched her abdomen, grief ripping through her like a blade. "I didn't mean to lose the baby, Rohan... I swear..."
"I know," he said quietly. "But meaning well isn't always enough."
Tears streamed down her face. "I wanted to prove I could do it all... I wanted the name... the fame... and now... I've lost everything."
Rohan didn't speak. He stood slowly, his body numb.
Pari sobbed harder. "Say something, Rohan... please..."
He turned to her. "There's nothing left to say."
Then, without another word, he walked out of the room—leaving Pari alone with the crushing weight of her loss.
Downstairs – Later That Night
The family gathered in the living room, the earlier joy surrounding Samaira now muted by the tragedy upstairs. Tanya sat on the sofa, Samaira cradled in her arms, Ajit's arm around her protectively. Even she, who had every reason to resent Pari, looked quietly shaken.
Sonakshi spoke gently, breaking the silence. "Pari... she didn't mean for this to happen."
Tanya looked down at Samaira and whispered, "But some mistakes change everything. And some losses... can't be undone."
Rohan stood in the doorway, watching the family from afar. He hadn't said a word since the hospital. His eyes searched for comfort, for peace—but found none.
Ajit walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I know this hurts. More than you'll admit. But don't shut down again, bhai."
Rohan met his eyes, defeated. "I don't know who I am anymore, Ajit."
Ajit sighed. "Then start over. Do better. It's never too late to become the man you should've been."
Rohan glanced at Tanya, who didn't look away—but neither did she soften.
In her arms, Samaira let out a sleepy yawn.
And Rohan knew... that he had lost one child forever—and the other, possibly, for life.

To be continued.
It looked like Pari would try to harm Tanya and the baby. Good thing Sonakshi was there too.
