I am not that conservative but I have never understood why especially the FL on ITV has to expose her back all the time. For me Nalla’s dressing is way too much exposure. She may as well go topless as that’s the only tiny piece of cloth being used on it. And she needs to dress down at home, constantly overdressed. And not appropriate around 2 growing boys.

And today, Dua spoke EXACTLY like Yuvi does today. I was itching to thappad maro her. Kaash Neetu had give her one!

Dua did not say anything wrong. No child will tolerate disrespect of their mother.

Neetu should thank her stars that Dua is not a grown up kid yet. Otherwise if I was in her place I would have given a tight slap to Neetu.

There is a reason why children start growing distant from the Dadis & Dadus when they see them constantly disrespecting the mother.

Neetu is a bish anyway. No different from DK. She was also parroting the same thing of not allowing to co parent Dua & ManVik with DK. In front of Vik she was simply acting all saint.

Vik was right to blast her when he pointed out that in all these 7 yrs she never said anything or blamed Dua & Mannat then why now ?

Neetu thinks that everyone around her is her personal property. She can keep people whenever she wants, she can throw people out when she is done. But no one can say anything to her. She is quick to judge others but the irony is she or Ronny not even once have the decency to say sorry to Vik for drugging him.

Coming to dressing I don't see any issue honestly. From day 1 we know Salujas and Raisinghs come from an affluent family. In such well known families wearing bold clothes is not an issue even in front of kids.

If kids are made to understand from a very small age that women should not be judged based on their dressing, they will surely learn. It has nothing to do with class. There are elite classes who are way more patriarchal than middle class families.

PS - saree draping I agree, few of them in past looked really shabby. There are so many ways to drape a saree.

Now people are coming at Mannat's dressing? Since the beginning, this show might be one of the rarest shows where they have shown FL dressing up as bold as the vamps otherwise there has always been an imaginary rule that fl should be covered up as she is sanskari and seedhi saadhi while the vamps are in skimpy, overexposed clothes to show they are wicked. Here the characters are shown from high class society or mingling with high class people, big deal. It was quite refreshing that Shruti never reprimanded Mannat for dressing bold. I even hate how some people even judge Malla, Yashika constantly and pass crude comments. It's 2026, let women dress as they want. You can watch them or just skip or scroll. Why these constant nasty remarks under the garb of criticism?

Also Mannat always dresses fancy for special occassions, it has always been like this. Both Vikrant and DK fell for Mannat as a person. Yes she is indeed pretty and looks matter as well, but I haven't seen either of them particularly eying her due to her outfits or anything. Heck, they both fell for her when she used to dress up normal. Its not her fault that DK fell for her in those 7 years, she has always been quite clear about her stance and even DK himself used to vocalize that, its on him if his feelings changed. Now also, why should she change herself just because she got to know his feelings? Won't that look more hypocritical if she changes her dressing now implying she has always been shady? The onus should be on him, not on her.

And hypothetically, even if Mannat changes her dressing style in front of DK that won't stop him from still imagining his life with her & Dua.

RoTu or Vik or Mannat, no one can stop or control this thoughts. That's solely on him & his responsibility to ensure that he doesn't do any antics that would hurt his Mannat ji )if really he loves & respects her)

But, gradually we are getting to know through his dialogues that its not love nor respect for her but control, the Haq which he is hell bent on snatching away from Vikrant.

Also, Mannat becoming too much conscious of her dressing or her behavior in front of DK means giving an opportunity to him that his feelings are affecting her. This would mean DK again hoping that there might be a chance in future were she might come back to him with Dua.

Why to even give such an opportunity to him when for 7 years Mannat has maintained her stand and has always been the way she is; be it dressing, behavior and her overall personality then now why all of a sudden she is supposed to change everything and make the ongoing situation more complicated ...

Try to separate writing from the story/characters. The onus is not on the women, the onus is on writers to show their women. The writing team, direction team, costumes team failed here. Not mannat.

I had written one point on dressing and rest is about bad plot points. But only this caught attention. So no body is bothered about how bad they are writing the story?!

Thats what we have been saying too.... nobody is defending the writing team here... we are simply pointing how the dressing team has worked ... Mannat was ways dressed like this irrespective of the occasion. It has nothing to do with DK.... thats what you are not getting yet.

Her dressing with deep neck blouses has nothing to do with what anyone thinks of her.

And I do not believe writing team and styling team sit together to work on a scene. It is more of Creatives job. If it fits their vision then thats the issue, not the character or the writers. So if it fails, it fails at Creatives level. Thats Jassi.

From what I have read about the scene... Mannat is not waiting for DK to help her so her dressing up 'in front of him' doesnt even feature in her mind. She is a bride and she dressed as she saw fit. Yaha DK feature nahi hua. She is thinking about Shruti is what I read.

As for the PDA from the clips I saw... ManVik hugs have not happened in front of Dua... so I dont know what PDA she has seen apart from the one hug before Vik starts dancing.

We criticize writing time and time again... but lately all of us have given up. Especially post leap 🫤

If there are questions on the scene... it should be why DK is coming into Mannats personal space when he knows she doesnt have feelings for her

Why is he telling her he wont leave.

Why has ManVik not asked DK Why he doesnt want to share Dua with Vik?

Why is Malla roaming around

Why hasnt Mannat asked Vik about Y

Why is Neetu blaming Mannat for getting influenced by DK when she herself is getting influenced by Y and Malla and questioning Mannats character.

Why is DK instigating Dua for sacrifice? Why cant he sacrifice?

These could be the questions we need to ask 🤦‍♀️

So blaming Dua has started because she is not behaving as per whims of certain audience?

I wish they keep Dua feisty against Neetu, especially for Mannat. I loved how she stood up for her mumma yesterday and told Neetu off. Yes, she is manipulated but Neetu had no buiness to shout at Mannat like that. Any kid who would've been at Dua's place won't take their mother's disrespect. Dua should be kept away from Neetu as well, that woman ain't any less. She is still mentally unstable and extremely selfish. I can understand Dua being close to Ronnie as he genuinely loves his grandchild but Neetu is anything but caring grandma and its given that Mannat and her will never get along. So its better if they keep Dua a little distant from Neetu. The audacity of that woman to raise her hand over a mere kid when her own parents were standing right there. She herself never slapped her son but wants to slap else's kid infront of her parents. I'm glad Vikrant asked her to stay away from Dua if she dislikes whatever she does, her parents are enough to handle her.

So, let me clarify at the outset, I don’t look at the story from the audience POV. I can’t and that’s wasn’t a part of my job.

The show has always shown ladies dressing a bit to a lot edgy depending on the character. Also, it seems that the audience is lapping up. I personally think that this show is only for sex appeal more than the story.

I have mentioned time and again that numbers/ money matter more than the quality. So the latter is compromised.

As far kapde is concerned, if I come to know that the audience is liking such skimpy outfits, mei toh Mannat ki shadi lingerie with fancy dupatta mei karwau and Vikrant in mankini (spare your eyes, don’t Google)

All said and done, Sadil, I know your post was not about clothes and the message got lost in translation.

But if you want to watch the show, watch it post wedding.

• Yuvi is playing with blocks. Mimo & Y are around. Yuvi asks Mimo why is she sad? Mimo says she is sad becasue Buddy's wedding may not happen. She says it all depends on Dua. Dua is around, listening. She ask Yuvi, if Mimo marries someone, , he says he will never allow, it. Y the great , explains that if she marries someone, Mimo's love will be split. Dua gets upset. they say Manvik will not be able to give her time. Mimo adds if Yuvi didn't want her to get married, she wouldn't
• As Dua walks off, DK meets her. Just then, manvik also come there, & are watching. DK talks to Dua very cleverly, tells her to do what her heart asks her to do. Dua though at first is quite clear that Vik is a good person, he didn't create the accident. DK hugs her, & says they will all do whatever she wants.
• Dua turns around and says she doesn't want them to get married because she doesn't want to live in SM. She wants to go back. Must say Trisha is so good. She is unsure about her decision., but goes ahead. For such a small girl to get it right. Manvik are shocked. Vik immediately agrees. Smiles and says if she doesn't want it, the marriage will not happen. Mannat is shocked, so is Neetu Dua then adds, if Vik really loves her, he will sacrifice his happiness for her sake. Vik immediately agrees, while Mannat, neetu are shocked.
• Mannat wants to ask her, who has told her all this, when Vik stops her. he says we promised, and we will stick to our word. he asks her when would she like to leave, Dua says the next day. Neetu is upset, knows it is all DK's doing, but Vik stops her from talking further. Dua is upset too, but looks confused. Everyone leaves. Then it is revealed that when he hugged her, he told her to test Vik. he advises that if Vik loves Dua, he will sacrifice his happiness just like he himself has always done. Malla & Y celebrate, but Y is suspicious.
• Vik is preparing the tiffin for the train journey, has made all Dua's favourites. Mannat comes in, hugs him crying. Vik comforts her, saying they had decided that whatever Dua wants will happen. Mannat is still crying. Dua comes & hears them talking.
• Vik tells Mannat he is happy that she loves him so much. That is enough. Vik says he is thrilled he now knows he has a daughter. he tells her she ahs to send him details of everything that happens to Dua, even an ant bite. he tells her to take care of herself, don't keep falling everywhere. he asks her what to pack for Mannat. Mannat tells him to pack himself. Vik tells her they love each other most in the world, but now they will never meet again, they have to do this for the one person they love more than themselves...lovely line!! Mannat agrees. Dua hears all this, and is tearful. DK sees her crying.
• Dua is packing. DK comes in. She asks him about Vik, and says he is a good person. DK tells her she is old enough, and he can tell her certain things. He tells her long ago, Vik had hurt her mom very badly. And he doesn;t want it to happen again. So Dua agrees, continues packing.
• DK talsk to the broker about the houses. Looks like he will maintain two houses, one in Indore, and one in Mumbai. Y overhears him, & taunts him. She says she would like to help him. Even ARS needed her help for her plan against Mannat. But hello, ARS 'died' planning karte karte.
• Dua switches on the AC in th OH. And some sparks fly. The curtain catches fire. VIk is coming to give her something.
