Ultimately, the bottom line is that only the producer or director has the right to kick an actor out of a movie whenever they wants. but Actor doesn't have the rights to leave the project even if it feels unfair to him making him wait indefinitely.

The ultimate point is whether DP-ranveer get kicked out of a movie or replaced or they leave it due to differences, we always need to make it seem like they are standing a higher moral ground and willingly let go of the opportunity for the betterment of crew, industry, society yada yada and “empowerment”

Good for them, the industry (industry minus DeepVeer), their rivals, their fans and their haters…..everyone has a job now👍

Since people also love to bring in “but dp has worked for 18 years without a single conflict or complaint …or bad rep….same with ranveer”

Well same with farhan …or the producers of kalki (vyjayanti moves) , both of whom had the history of production companies more than 25 years old , won national awards and worked with giants like sridevi, amitabh, aamir, srk, hrithik, chiranjeevi etc . And actors across multiple industries too like dulquer, mrunal, Samantha , keerthy suresh, farhan presented yash’s kgf projects to the Hindi market ….Vyjayanti movies even started the career of rajamouli by hiring him as an assistant director in the 90s and then even producing his first film as a director . Their reputation is no doozy across the country and certainly are on a higher pedestal in terms of their creative contributions and collaborations in Indian cinema, compared to ranveer and dp.

Neither parties have had any bad rep prior to their engagement with each other ….which points to things going sour on the basis of contract negotiations or operating on bad faith

DP didn’t walk out coz she was ill treated on the set or demanded better working conditions for the crew or better food for the crew like her pr wanted to claim….ranveer didnt walk out coz farhan kept him dangling …..

The both would have done the movie if their demands were met. And it’s upto the producer who’s paying the money to decide what demands are reasonable.

And yea, given that people walk out of movies or get dropped from movies all the time it seems rather extreme that Farhan is taking this approach with it.

Spot on.....Creative departures are standard practice in cinema....The industry has survived unfair casting replacements, massive delays, and major misconduct scandals without taking action.....Drawing the line at an actor exiting over creative differences is a massive double standard....

People discussing Deepveer every chance they get. They have earned it.

They say nothing. Everyone still find ways to make money off their names. The influencers will run with it for days. Hopefully,it will cover their rent for this month.

Producers of Ads and films only want to sell. They will find a way around. The tecnical workers will suffer,as always,it is the poor. I am not sure if they love the Producers guild so much,to sacrifice,in these recession times.
