and please, when did farhan stand by ranveer? Farhan waited for dhurandhar to release, that is not standing by him, if farhan truly stood by ranveer then he would have already shot for don 3, he would have truly beleived in him, but farhan didn't beleive in ranveer, he kept pushing the shoot date back

1) Again, nobody has seen the contract Zara. The statue of limitations is for 7 years in the state of Maharashtra. Lot of time for a long, lengthy legal battle.

2) SLB tried for months. Couldn't find financers.

3) A film doesn't start when the first shot is taken. It starts at the Pre-production stage and looking at the figure of 45 Cr already spent, looks like a big budget spectacle was shaping. So yes he did stand by Ranveer. He could've easily shelved the film.

4) Again, we don't know if Farhan wanted to wait or the pre production was taking too long or Ranveer wanted to wait. Maybe he never wanted to do the film but it was his insurance in case Dhurandhar flopped. You're projecting all the negative milestones on Farhan as facts.

I don't want to keep going back and forth. This is my understanding of the situation. The rest is just noise.

Now Singh coming off a massive success doesn't want to do the film. Too bad beta!!! A contract is binding. You don't get to walk away from it. If you do want to break the contract, there will be a penalty & damages. Standard stuff!! Just pay Farhan and move on.

this whole fight is ridiculous, Farhan def wasted Ranveer time Nd dragged him along for the ride in his lowest phase. now that he gives a hit, all of a sudden he is ready to shoot? where is his actress, because Kiara not only got pregnant but also delivered a baby but he couldn't start the movie.

all of this is so fishy, People leave movies all the time but Farhan is def playing victim card here. There is no way he did 45 crores worth of costumes or whatever.

I don't think Salman covered the losses. There were various articles that SLB had to pay for the 15 cr losses all by himself.

That said, based on this article, it appears that the both parted amicably.

You are the one assuming he broke a contract, if he broke a contract then farhan can easily take ranveer to court. These are big producers with big money, taking someone to court is alot easier and faster for them than the average person.

Ranveer agreed to pay some of the damages, but farhan wants ranveer to pay the full 45 crores, which ranveer is not contractually bound to pay and neither is it s a reasonable amount. Ranveer wants to settle this is in court, it's farhan who doesn't, the fact that ranveer wants this to be settled in a court shows he has the evidence to back his case.

Ranveer is not the one being unreasonable here, he agreed to pay for some of the damages so that they can amicably and provatley settle this, it is farhan who is being unreasonable and asking ranveer to pay the full pre-production cost and has now gone to fwice to ban him, and fwice did a whole press conference about it

These organisations will not come to the aid of character artists and crew struggling to get paid enough and on time ….

They won’t come to the aid of females getting harassed on sets or those who voiced their concerns via the me too movement

I find it funny how they pick issues that are not of concern to anyone but the 2 parties involved and try to pick a side and create a ruckus

Not saying ranveer is some saint ….surely there is some screw up that happened that we might not fully know the details of so I chose not to pick sides here …..coz farhan has been in the industry for 25 years now and never had these kinda disputes with anyone….and he’s worked with the crème de la creme A listers all his life …..so he does deserve a benefit of doubt too and not just say “oh he’s jealous of ranveers success”….hes only ever worked with successful people as a director …half the industry refused zoyas films like lbc, ddd and akshays role in dch but excel never held grudges ….so I doubt it’s a simple jealousy or refusal to an offer that’s causing this …

Exactly man. And also Salman was the main producer of Inshallah as well. He parted ways with Bhansali due to creative differences between them and that’s all there’s to it. So both Salman and SLB moved on peacefully without making things ugly. End of!

The Ranveer/Farhan case on the other hand is completely different, so I really wish that some people would just get real and STOP comparing apples and oranges!

Along with professional issues...this is also personal for Farhan, who considered Singh a friend and now feels massively betrayed.

People blaming Farhan for not starting don 3 sooner did y’all forget his lead actress Kiara was pregnant, gave birth and is nursing a baby? Maybe that could be the reason for rescheduling and delay? matlab when DP is pregant the world needs to bend to MOTHER and her rules but when ranveer needs a film it should start asap warna farhan is just keeping him dangling …😭
