Always wanted to see the difference between VS and DK, and at one point I had completely lost hope for Vikrant’s character. But I’m genuinely happy that the writers are finally trying to bring him back with proper growth. Starting from before the leap, Vikrant was never insecure or jealous of DK. There were so many incidents where Mannat and Dhairya were together, and Vikrant even caught them lying once or twice, yet he never behaved possessively. Yes, what he did on the wedding day by character assassinating Mannat was completely wrong 🤡( biggest mistake he made ) After the leap too, Vikrant wasn’t shown as jealous. In Indore, he was hurt after seeing the family situation, and in that emotional state he started taking wrong decisions. But once he got attached to Dua, he accepted her wholeheartedly as his niece and even accepted DM as a couple. Even after learning the truth about Dua, Vikrant was hurt, but Dhairya was the one constantly shown as insecure. He snatched Dua away, questioned Mannat repeatedly, and even threw tantrums over Dua’s paintings. On the other hand, Vikrant was never insecure of Dhairya. He genuinely wanted everyone to coexist as a family. What’s sad is that Vikrant kept being reminded of his past mistakes, even though he himself was also a victim of lies in the past. In the present too, he was made to feel guilty for situations that were actually initiated by Neetu, and despite that, he still apologized. Keeping Dua’s happiness in mind, he even gave custody back to DM and stood up against Neetu and Yashika when needed. That shows real growth. I’m honestly loving Vikrant’s character development right now. I had been waiting for the writers to handle his arc properly, and finally it feels like they’re giving him the maturity and redemption he deserved.
