Episode update
Mannat asks DK to book tickets and that as long as she is alive nobody can take away his position as Duas Baba. Doesnt care what Vik thinks.
Vik comes in and pleads to be part of Duas life. He repeats that he wont spoil DM relationship... that he is okay to be Mr. Saluja and will nor claim any haq on anyone or say anything otherwise (to Mannat 🙃). He regrets and rues his lonely life. Mannat melts but DK takes over. Thanks Vik for handling it maturely. He questions Viks nature of believing anyone and he doesnt want the family to be brought in the same position again. Mannat looks like she doesnt want DK to say all this.
Mannat then takes over and pleads to Vik for Duas mental health. That its difficult to explain these complicated relationships to her and its better they go away. But Mannat promises that they will think about it and will give a space to Vik.
Vik is very sensible mature and understanding about it. He is just happy that Mannat is willing to give a chance. That hope is enough.
Then he cracks a joke which makes DK smile and Dua sees it. Immediately hugs DK and asks Vik what magic did he do?
Mannat realizes Vik did this for Dua!!! Her heart breaks and yearns for her family... Vik and Dua.
She keeps looking at him even after he goes.
Vik is drinking in mezbani recalling past incidents with Mannat. Y comes and worries that Mannat is using Dua to get close to Vik. Someday she might take all property as well. She decides to use Mannat against Vik. Tries to sympathesize with Vik. He reveals that he regrets he let Mannat go.
Neetu comes in and asks Y to leave ... mere puttar ki Maa abhi zinda hai...
Neetu consoles Vik while he goes over his mistakes and declares he loved Mannat but she left him 🤦♀️... and that there is no way to get her back now. Neetu understands Vik is on tangent. She explains DM are not married for real. Vik thinks she is saying this to pacify him. Neetu reveals that DM are not married but they pretend to be so for Duas sake... so that no one questions Duas legitimacy...
Vik is stunned. He then has another memory recall... most of it of his treatment and judgement of Mannat and the slap she gave him. He realizes thats why Mannat would never say a word whenever he taunted her about her marriage with DK but rather questioned him over Ys involvement in his life. That Mannat never moved on from their love and she is his still. 🥳
Precap is Neetu asking Vik to file custody so that Mannat stays too.
Dua is going somewhere with her bag. DK waves her.

Interestingly Viks handling of this truth is well written and it really shows his growth. His actions have caused so much trauma that Mannat DK believe Vik would be confrontational after the reveal but he behaves very sensibly. Keeping Duas wellbeing on priority. ❤️
A key difference between his past and present behaviour... Duas truth has made him grow up in a matter of hours!!!!!

He has accepted DM and promises Mannat that he wont say anything to her .. a subtle call back to the drunken confession on Holi. 😁
Mannat is truly stuck between a rock and hard place. She doesnt want to let go of DKs rights... but she is neither ready to be Vik around all the time. Possibly because even she knows she will melt soon. Mannat would have given a significant place to Vik had it been in her hands. DK overpowers her here without her realising it. 🫣
And Neetus suggestion of solo custody is going to trigger Mannat badly... especially when Y is still around 💔
As of today I feel ManVik will get joint custody 🤞🤞🤞🤞
