I have an opposite reasoning (than Ashwin) on Patidar's wicket.

I don't think anyone can completely enclose a cricket ball with their hand. There is always a chance for the ball to make contact with the ground depending on the hand position even if someone is holding the ball tightly.

Here the question is after catching the ball, did Holder loose his grip on the ball at any time before getting up?

I guess he did not and the catch was declared a fair catch.
