Monologue can be anything..she loves Vikrant but she is still in trauma and in dilemma of the after effects...Vikrant’s VO has been shown 2-3 times (very less though) but those never much translated to his actions later (would blame makers for this)..

Ronnie saying to trust Mannat - that statement was for DK with respect to the fact that Dua won't be snatched away from him even if Vikrant stays with them (based on Dua's ask)....thats what I could understand..

Pre-leap she & Ronnie took entire decision themselves even after begging crying howling from Mannat to tell the truth, it was not honestly her truth to tell. She even warned them that she would tell her but Neetu's s*ic*de melodrama just didn't end.

But abhi Dua ki baari aayi toh this selfish moron without thinking about repercussions of Dua & Mannat went ahead implementing her own plan..

Let me explain what I meant, may be I am not clear and people are thinking I am calling mannat characterless...NO.

What is mistake vs what is character.

Mannat says DK is great, he supported her and Dua is his daughter. This is what she feels. She also feels pull towards Vik, which is FINE...She can imagine a happy ending with vik and dream about him...no issues. It is not morally wrong till she loves him and keeps it to herself. Though she feels the pull, she has to stand by DK if he wants to be Dua's father. Because that is the right thing to do. That is character.

Where I felt that she is confused or not sure...is when she had monologues of forgiving Vik if he says sorry. That part I didnt understand. This is after she said she has trauma from the past. It could be the mahaan writers adding disconnected dialogues. Based on that, I HOPED she would not turn into someone who says something, feels something and does something else. This will NOT be a mistake. It is hypocrisy, which makes her a morally grey person.

Mistakes can be all the misunderstandings that she had on understanding Vik. She can do that. Anyone can do that. It doesnt define her character. Like the truth she has hidden about Vik's birth during their wedding. She did it with good intentions. It might be a mistake in retrospective, but not a failure of character.

A character is again subject to change as per situation.

She is also a human & has emotions. Thats how we as audience perceive everyone. And I don't remember anyone saying she is a positive character. She has grey shades. Infact in reality no one is 100% positive.

She cannot be right 100 percent at all times..she can take wrong decisions, can repent and have her own redemption..thats what other people are also expecting..redemption from her bcz they think she did a big crime by lieing (not my thoughts)...

Also just adding, people expect from Mannat to do everything from A to Z, and serve all proofs & statements in a silver platter to Vikrant and others but still be at the receiving end..

That is not possible at all & not fair....
