Anupamaa 27 Apr 2026 Written Update & Daily Discussions Thread

Hi dear friinds ..am now out of India ... so unable to view hotstar. Will resume daily updating soon as I can access Hotstar.

Against all good sense, I watched few clips (I tried watching the entire episode but it was too frustrating) and here are my honest thoughts.

I usually try to see the first of naya suffers hoping that somewhere there will be an interesting story. Dance Ranis track was boring, Rajni track was decent (the best IMO), Digvijay track is yawn worthy.

The latest suffer, i.e, Shruti track went phuss for me in 1 episode (The actress is good). The teenage Aadhya was not a Anupamaa blind follower, so she had visible bonding with Shruti. Raahi, however, is a hidden Anupamaa fan (Have to agree with Vasundhara here) and her reactions to meeting Shruti were more cold than teenage Aadhya's would be. Already, things like that mad man (Spoiler : Not Anooj, another random mad man) declaring danger to Anupamaa, Digvijay implying that Shruti wasn't right for Anuj seem like attempts to villianise Shruti before she has even done anything.

At this point, bringing in a duplicate of Anupamaa and making her the villian, in some Anu vs Maa thing, seems like the only way another character will get a fair chance to show their perspective. I am bored of the in-your-face messaging, Anupamaa is the Fairest of them all while anyone who remotely differs from her is an evil monster.

Honestly, I actually feel like Anupama wasn't wrong this time (if I overlook how much Anupamaa has favoured Toshi). For all of his big dreams and words, Prem failed on food, plumbing and gas stove part, in short, pretty much every aspect. Anupamaa would obviously give his restaurant a negative report. There was no need of bringing in Shruti for this lame Maa vs Maa competiton.

Shruti is seriously another character ruined. She left the serial wishing well for Anupamaa and Anuj and is back after years claiming that her only family were Anuj and Aadhya. 12 years later, Shruti is less self respecting than she was.

AFAIR, Shruti left Aadhya when she was 13. 13+12 means Raahi is 25 years old now. Anupamaa was 42 when the serial started. She must be atleast 44 (divorce, courtship, marriage) when she adopted Choti. Choti was 5 years old at the time. Meaning, age gap of Anupamaa and Raahi is 39 years (44-5). 39 + 25 = 64 years. That means Anupamaa is 64 years old now. Anupamaa is a great grandmother at this age (Anupamaa - Samar - Ansh - Pranshi). Doesn't seem believable.

Forget ALL that Pari wasn't even born when Choti Anu was adopted, meaning she was atleast 6-7 years older than Pari, Anss and Maahi were even younger.

So, if Raahi/Aadhya/Choti Anu is 25, then Pari, Anss and Maahi are married illegally😱? And Onupama, Hansmukh-Leela can be booked for child marriage because they got the marriage fixed?

So, the only character who proved beyond doubt to be the Victim of Onuj-Onupama's cheating (Because Onupama "confessed" to Shruti, "Dil Dimaag pe Haawi ho gaya"), had to be made the villain, isn't it?

So, a woman who ABANDONED the child (within a year) she consciously and willingly adopted,

Forced her to run away after blaming a child for their parents' separation, Forgave the couple who kidnapped her and nearly killed both the child and Onupama

Brought her back after ages only to be abused by her "filthy family"

Is the Mother of Choti Anu/Adhya/Raahi

But

The woman who raised her gave them the stability of a family for 6.5 years

Lost her motherhood in trying to save her and Onupama in a shootout

Was a Victim of Cheating on Onuj-Onupama's part, effectively losing the chance at a family

Has NO Rights as a Mother

Because

There can only be one Maa, Onupama, huh.

Serial was illogical from a long time, I am also finding it boring now.

Waiting for next naya suffer. Wonder who they will ruin - maybe, Malti Devi will be the upcoming 'blast from the past'

Although the serial offers nothing to draw attention.

The best naya suffer would be an actual safar out of the Television screen.

Two budhiyas fighting over a grown-up woman Shruti should just go back to wherever she came from. Because the Aadhya she left behind and the Rahi she found are two completely different people. Aadhya still had a few working brain cells. Rahi is UpMaaa bhakt who keep flipping according to her convenience. And from the looks of it, Digvijay is going to handover the caphe to phaltu Prem and disappear like all previous UpMaaa fan boys. Shruti is just going to waste her money, her time and her sanity in this mess.
