Yes, sometimes it's sheer eyewashing forwarded by paid pr-articles and paid tweets overflowed with superlatives smiley36

For certain movies, this has become quite ridiculous and also reflects on the makers and leading actors/actresses.

Bhooth Bangla Has Good Hold On Monday - May Emerge A HIT

Monday 20 April 2025 17.30 IST
Box Office India Trade Network

Bhooth Bangla has seen good hold on Monday as it looks to collect around 6.50 crore nett on Monday and this could even go to 7 crore nett. A 50% drop would have been a fair result but this is looking to drop around 40% which is a good result for the film. The film will hava total of around 61 crore nett after four days.

There are the late shows to come which can aid even the aid the film towarsd that 7 crore nett figures and the hold on Monday is better than Jolly LLB 3. The film was pretty much a success with the Sunday collections but this Monday just consolidates that and now its about whether the film can sustain well enough to become a HIT.

The film will have discounted rates on Tuesday though not to the INR 99 level which will boost collections but this has shifted some of the weekday audience to Tuesday and it means there will be a drop on Wednesday so now its about where the film is landing up on the Wednesday.

The first week including paid previews looks to heading above 75 crore nett and maybe even close to 80 crore nett but it will be about the Wednesday and that will tell if its towards 75 crore nett or towards 80 crore nett. All in a all a good result for the Hindi film industry as a mid level film has found a solid theatrical audience after the bigger films like Border 2 and Dhurandhar 2 and its not a sequel.

Just one member-review among all the number-praise...

Sacnilk tells: "Day 4 collection of ₹6.75 Cr represents a 70.7% drop from yesterday's net collection of ₹23.00 Cr.

Also only numbers but giving a not so favourable spin as the posted tweets here.

100cr gross worldwide is far from being 100 cr net India collection.

Sacniik is desperate to show the drop is more but the foolishly compare a Monday collection with a Sunday collection. They forgot every film after a holiday do drop smiley36

Monday is always compare to friday & Bhoot Bangla has just Dropped 40% not 70.7% as shown.

I think that both proceedings are done by analysts... the often cited "monday-drop", though, refers to the previous day and not to the Friday.

Anyways, I don't give a judgement about the movie as such as I've not watched it yet (have to wait for streaming)... and - until now - only two of my Indian friends-circle have watched it (they admitted that their impression what is funny for them has changed throughout the years - the 'running gag' started to annoy them after some repetitions).

I may report numbers but I don't take them serious... others may do, though.
