Hi, I’m only reading Fan Changyu and Xie Zheng’s parts.
I was just noticing how different their characters are in the novel compared to the drama.
In the beginning, the hero doesn’t have any feelings for the heroine. But in episode one, when she hides him and he looks at her, it makes the audience feel like his feelings start from there but that’s not actually the case.
In fact, he agreed to the wedding only because he needed a fake identity to get travel papers, since officials were coming there for checking.
In the drama, they show from the very beginning that soldiers come to check whether someone is a refugee or not.
In episode 7, I feel that Yun Zheng’s feelings for Changyu started when she saved him from those thugs.
Yeah ..
Also he falls first in book 😍 he even has a dream of her marrying someone else after he leaves and from then his mind is unsettled 😅 he supresses his feelings way too much in book and i totally liked it..he keeps questioning what is so great about fan changyu but answers himself that there is no one like her 😂🤭
He makes her understand how world and not everyone is as pure as her ..he is very curt, blunt, distant with her in book unlike in drama where he is so sweet to her all the time..so it makes perfect sense that she dint fall for him even after marriage and when he kisses while leaving she beats him up for crossing his boundaries ..
In drama they kissed voluntarily and always had that sexual tension between them so that breakup never made sense to me..in book it is clear that he crossed boundaries without her consent and hence got beaten up lol ..
