Trimurti Films Sues Aditya Dhar For Using Oye Oye In Dhurandhar - Page 3

This oye oye bit was a part of Dhurandhar song Rang de lal. Somewhat like it was used years ago by Trimurti films as a part of Tirchi topiwale. None of them original creators.

Orginal is shared here in this thread. Did Trimurti films buy rights from them? If they consider it as Tirchi topiwale then doesn’t T-series own it? In that case they can use for Dhurandhar

I would be glad if this trend of remixing, revamping, rehashing of old songs comes to n end. It has been annoying since peak Neha kakkar days.

But Trimurti films chose the wrong song. They could’ve done this for Saat Samundar in that Kartik Aryan movie.
Here they r fighting for this oye oye bit which itself is lifted from some other song. How r they going to claim it as their own? Now that this info has become viral chances r even lower

The Saat samundar tune was also lifted from English song and Rajiv Rai had taken objection to it being used in Tu Meri movie

He has mentioned this in the interview. But said it was too late when he got to know about Tu meri..or many other movies where his movie songs are used..so couldn’t take action on them. Could only object.

So saat samundar is also not original? If he himself is lifting songs how is he asking for copyright on them? In any case Tu meri used lyrics. Dhurandhar has just used oye oye

And why is he after Dhar..he should call out T-series in this case for his ‘intellectual’ property. Afterall he has sold the rights to t-series. They should know those right were not intellectual.

He cannot take on a powerful label coz it holds right to most of his films music. His worry is that all those songs may be reused. So he should talk to the label. Lekin wahan wo publicity nahi milegi jo Dhurandhar ke naam par milegi.
