People don't remember how rotten and regressive he was at the start of Gen 2 in Yrkkh. It's just that he later on improved a bit and the next two gens had such pathetic characters (especially the current ones), that he seems quite alright in comparison

My beef is that he's been in a Dkp show so long that in Pumaa at least I can't see him as any other character. He had literally made an appearance during the Thu thu thu thu airline flight to green screen Amreeka.

And if they're going to show him then show a proper track where Pumaa sets up his cafe, it only works because of her (same like Vanar's Jhuli kephe), then he falls for her, she drops hints but then rejects him when he confesses, eventually dumps him and leaves when some Shameless Shah matter comes up. This is her established pattern and it works

Though Pumaa going back to Goa herself (after everyone castigates her like when Aryan died), is also a possibility. They anyway don't have a story since years and show repetitive stuff on a loop so they'll just make minor changes like Rahi reconciling with her first this time and later Prem

UpMaaa, phaltu Prem, fossil Dukhmukh all doing nautanki. If phaltu Prem was so invested in this so-called dream, why didn't he pay better attention to the details? Jab kaam karna tha toh he was busy romancing choti UpMaaa aur ab natak kar raha hai. And Dukhmukh should be the last one to preach about honesty, when his son is Vanar "Fraud" Shah. Also UpMaaa's 2 out of 3 children are liars, cheaters and criminals. Aur aaj tak she could not do shit about that. Bas dusron ke bachon ko 20 pages lecture de sakti hai. Sab ke sab hypocrites hai show mein. No wonder the latest naya suffer crashed and burned so fast.

I have a simple question: on what basis was Upmaa appointed as a senior food inspector with the authority to grant or cancel a license for Phaltu Prem’s so-called restaurant?

The real issue is Phaltu Prem’s negligence—he failed to even check for a gas leak. And why was he working with Rajni’s daughter, Prerna, in the first place? If anyone had to be there, Choti Upmaa would have made far more sense.

This whole setup feels forced and poorly thought out. And now, it looks like the predictable “I hate you, Mummy” track is about to begin.
