A fairly comfortable win for the Royals in the end. They put up a mountain of runs on the board, and their bowlers followed through on it promptly, denting MI in the powerplay. Archer was excellent in his opening over, with Burger also doing his bit. Sandeep was the standout, though, and it was his over (which saw him remove Rohit) that truly tilted the scales RR's way.

MI may not want to read too much into this game, owing to its shortened nature. But they might be worried about the form of some of their batting stars, not to mention their bowling efforts. They now have a few days to recalibrate before returning to action on Sunday.

It was a shortened game, the pitch was under covers for a long time, there would be some help for the bowlers, but it didn't matter for Jaiswal and Sooryavanshi as they came all guns blazing. They set the tone with a quickfire stand and that propelled them to a 150 total in 11 overs. Mumbai Indians' chase never got going. They lost Rickelton and SKY in the first two overs, Rohit soon followed. The only ray of hope came when Rutherford and Naman Dhir got a few boundaries away, but they were left with too much to do and they fell 27 runs short of the target.
