Never watched any Pakistani shows so dunno.
Such shows can only be liked by teenagers because they’re in an age where they don’t exactly understand how the world works irl but they’re in that phase where they’re not quite kids but they’re also not quite grownups. They’re discovering these new feelings and thoughts that they can’t understand nor articulate yet. We all have been there and know what it’s like. In that phase when you are presented with good looking people or people you think are good looking and an idea of this is what romance feels like is projected, these kids buy it.
It’s only when you grow up you know better and your worldview is changed by your experiences and exposure to life which varies for everyone and carry all kinds of shades from good to bad to indifference.
It’s only when you grow older that you realise that love doesn’t constitute in just finding someone who excites you, but sometimes it’s about who calms you down too. It’s not just about silly arguments or serious ones, talking to someone but sometimes it’s just about being with someone who appreciates your silences and allows you to open up in your own time without pushing you to do it.
Love isn’t anything that we see on TV anywhere tbh.. we tune in simply to watch something to take our minds off of our lives and what we go through it right from the mundane to the disturbing or heartbreaking. The sooner people realise that, the better.
