Because remember how Major Iqbal tells Rehman that to become successful in this thing you have to become nanga? Peak detailing by Aditya...

Dhar said, ladies, thank you for all the love; here’s a return gift for y’ll with that.

Vancouver chale jate khush rahte dono 😭
But her dad also turned out to be an agent....Aditya just wanted to torment us poor souls, hence he came up with that twist....🤧
I made a little fan fiction in my head and gave closure to their story...Jaskirat gets posted to Timbuktu to secure some intel and accidentally bumps into our girl and their son..Initially he feigns amnesia and refuses to recognize her but you know how determined our girl is...She chases him to the end of the world and finally gets hold of him and threatens him to burn him in his sleep if he ever abandons her again...that immediately fixes him and they both live happily ever after!

Strangely I found him hotter as Jaskirat; didn’t know it was possible with him being the poster boy of Adivasi Hair oil in the previous one but there’s something about his look as Jassi that does it for me too. I guess it’s owing to the sheer range of his emotions that we saw in those minutes - right from the beginning where he’s so quiet but you can see how his mind is both steady and buzzing, to his emotional farewell with his friend; then the adrenaline pumping sequence with Aari Aari to finally him becoming this gentle, almost vulnerable man in a heartbeat when he finds his sister.
What he does as Jassi in that sequence just makes him so much more powerful and raw than Hamza who is so much more controlled even at his most violent. There’s a shot in that whole sequence where he takes a long sword and kills two guys with it at the same time. If you look at Ranveer’s face there, he clenches his jaw and the look in his eyes is absolutely animalistic, ballistic, feral energy. I was transfixed by it for reasons beyond explanation. Ideally, a scene like that should have made me revolt and look away or at least scared - but I couldn’t for the life of me look away because what I saw was so raw and frightening in its barbarism yet somehow felt right.
Then he transitions to that scared man and brother who simply stands there with that look in his eyes as he hears those absolutely heartbreaking screams of his sister; he can’t move for a while and when he does; he’s so gentle with her… this man who killed about a dozen people singlehandedly transforms into such a gentle, kind and caring person in a moment as he cradles her against his chest.
I swear I was curious if we would see Yalina and his kid dying so that we can see a part 2 of that rage; this time as Hamza for his wife and kid. I genuinely thought when Raj Zutshi’s character was introduced as the ISI chief that maybe he would get this done to fish out Hamza or something, but Dhar subverted the expectations and went with what he did.
Usually I don’t care about award ceremonies since they’re all fake and well.. bought or given as thanks for attending our event trophies but I swear to god if Ranveer doesn’t win awards for this movie all those people will be never taken seriously again. He definitely deserves national awards 2 years in a row for both the movies. The second one even more than the first.
Word to everything you said, except the Yalina part...How about they are alive but get kidnapped by the terrorists he left behind because now they know she was the wife of Hamza and he somehow gets to find out about it? I know it sounds as cheesy as cheese can get....but we can have a whole new movie with him back in his favorite adda doing his favorite things being with his favorite people...
BTW, always wanted to see Ranveer playing a double role(No, Cirkus doesn't count)....Never thought Aditya and Ranveer would one up my expectations and give me a better package than a cheesy double role...Jaskirat and Hamza are so similar yet so different in every aspect that they can pass off as two different people carrying the same soul...

Dhar has picked Vancouver for a reason.
Hamza tells her they fly off to before well… perhaps we will get a sequel, maybe a few years later where this will happen aka Yalina and Jaskirat crossing paths.
We know that the former PM of Canada has accused unknown gunmen from India killing Canadian plumbers there
He even donned a Sikh look at the end and we know Canneda vich sabnu jaana hai

I genuinely don’t get the hype around Dhurandhar. Every few months Bollywood collectively decides that this is the film we must all be excited...
