But it has nothing to do with the fluency of Hindi though. It even happened with me, there was a time when I spent some considerable time coming to Chennai and Coimbatore multiple times, and I started doing it too, though I am born and brought up in Central India. Phir bhi it happened with me and I have a good command over Hindi.

So it's the place that starts doing the trick with the spellings.
