You have 99 names of Allah describing and praising a quality of his . If each one were to be personified you'd get 99 ' other Gods ' with seperate stories but then are they really seperate Gods? They're not.

Children from mixed faith families grow up with memories of both, tracing each to one or more dear members of the family, it goes beyond the faith part and its not easy for them to pick a lane. Think about it ,if your Dad is Christian and your mum is Hindu and hasn't converted , having to pick Christianity would mean you end up having to see your mum as a misguided devil worshipper . Having to pick Hinduism over the dad's faith would mean you piss off pretty much everyone on his side , having to deal with all kinds of patriarchal aggressions and expectations you're supposed to live up to. They should be allowed a middle ground without having to divorce one side philosophically.

Govt has said they need documentation. We agree with govt.
