KT was hilarious as she was modelled after
Rakhi Vijan’s character Sweetie from Ekta’s show Hum Paanch.
I remember when she sees Karan for the first time, she’s obviously unaware he’s her cousin, so she daydreams about him as a prospective groom. Hilariously, the moment she hears his name is Karan she imagines him as Karan from Mahabharata. Hiten even donned the look to resemble the character and she was dressed in costumes that were worn by women of the era too 
Hiten even had a fake moustache, probably because Karan’s character was made iconic by Pankaj Dheer who famously refused to shave his moustache come what may for any role believing it was a sign of masculinity and a man shouldn’t ever shave it off.
