It may not be the "third world country" label but the fact that Afghanistan is ruled by a terror organisation (Taliban) who blatantly disrespects human rights citing a religion as justification.
Pakistan and Afghanistan and their 'skirmishes' (even though now involving civilian people) certainly are on the backburner relative to the global stage... however, interesting how the Indian government reacted obviously accepting the Taliban (= Muslim) extremism (like they seem to negotiate with Iran which also is ruled by Islamic extremism...)... Could somebody explain me the difference about the regimes in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan relative to their crimes against humanity done by Islamic extremism??? It seems that the Indian government sees a difference...
