It was an emotional episode…

Maira literally hates her mother to the extreme. And I actually understand her… Being such a small child back then, she was emotionally shaken when her mother left her—and that was all because of Armaan and Vidya…

At one point, without meaning to, she was holding a tray with "red petals", and someone hit her from behind, causing all the petals to scatter over them… When Maira dropped the tray, everyone saw her and was left stunned…

She was completely frozen—she couldn’t react anymore. When she saw the two of them holding hands, multiple beautiful memories from her childhood with them came rushing back…

After that, out of distress, she started scratching that “tattoo.” She ran away in tears, and Abhira and Armaan went after her. On the way, Maira stopped and began questioning everything, crying, and even having visions… She imagined herself as a baby in a stroller, with Abhira and Armaan beside her… then they walked away, leaving her alone…

Or when they were teaching her how to ride a bicycle, and then again… they left her alone, walking away while she called after them and fell off the bike… Even just watching these memories is emotionally exhausting for the viewer—but for the character herself… After that, Maira started screaming and sat down in the middle of the road… A truck was about to hit her, but it stopped just in time. Armaan and Abhira arrived, calling out for her. Armaan started asking people about her, showing her photo on his phone. Abhira saw Maira getting into that truck, and then both of them started chasing it on foot…

Back at the Poddar house, Damyanti had already begun to suspect that the Poddar family was hiding something from them, asking whether Maira was their daughter… Manisha tried to come up with all sorts of excuses, but it was useless… In the end, Aryan stirred up conflict in the family, and the engagement took place…

Armaan and Abhira almost caught up with the truck—they tried to grab onto the door, but Abhira got dust in her eyes and fell behind… Armaan managed to get into the truck, but he couldn’t really talk to Maira, as she was upset with him for lying to her and for not letting her attend her brother-in-law’s engagement, using her exams as an excuse… She told him that her mother had abandoned her in the past, and now her father had abandoned her too.

Meanwhile, Abhira refuses to give up on Maira again and keeps running after the truck… Maira stops the truck, and as she is about to get down and leave, Abhira reaches out her hand to her… For a few seconds, both Maira and Abhira are lost in each other’s gaze… and Maira gently touches Abhira’s fingers with her own… Then Maira pulls her hand back, leaving Abhira standing there with her hand still outstretched, looking heartbroken… In the next episode… Armaan manages to reconcile with Maira at the hostel, while Abhira watches them from a distance… and Damyanti tells Vidya that the engagement has taken place, but the wedding will not happen.

Unfortunately, the writers made Maira’s storyline too exaggerated and overly dramatic… With Abhira… leaving the house and “choosing” Vani (now Mukti) instead of her… Mukti’s entire childhood was turned upside down… They had multiple wonderful moments together as a family when she was little. But all her feelings got completely mixed up, like in a “soup”. That’s why she hates her, and she has every right to. Any child Maira’s age would have been left with “emotional scars”…

On Star Plus HD, the new promo showed something different compared to Jio Hotstar.

Armaan and Abhira are seen attending a ceremony together (I think)… and he is given an embroidered piece (or whatever it’s called) with ‘ARMAAN’ written on it, which he wears near his veil. Then the two of them are in a room, near the wardrobe, arguing… Abhira tells him a few things, saying that she knows he hates her, and he replies: ‘I don’t hate you… I LOVE YOU, damn it.’

So… Rajan Shahi changed the storyline of the show to make viewers watch it again. I think the whole “garage” track (which was used for the 8-year leap in the show), along with the other colleagues and friends of Abhira, has come to an end.

I saw on Instagram, from various outlets (National Reporter TV, Telly Masala, Telly Reporter, Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan), multiple videos from the Iftaar Party 2026, where the entire cast participated, both from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and (Anupamaa) .

Is there anywhere I can watch the full coverage of this event ? I’m only interested in YRKKH, which is why I’m asking here.
