I’m sorry I was wrong. Apparently there’s an explicit rule of BCCI that states they cannot double term. It’s either IPL or national duty.
Since 2017, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has strictly prohibited national team coaches and support staff from working in the IPL simultaneously due to Conflict of Interest regulations.
Under current rules, an individual cannot hold more than one post at a single point in time, meaning you must choose between the national side and an IPL franchise.
Neither is there any striking captaincy worth players.
