Wouldn’t surprise me if she’s told by Gautam to go to SN to help Samaira maybe. The fact that her granddaughter nearly killed herself in front of the whole family would be a pretty good reason for her to go back home.

These are modern day status symbols. In older times you didn’t have these but it was just jewellery and clothing. The better and finer your clothes and jewellery, the more intricate and laden with precious stones - the more rich you were considered obviously. The symbols of married women such as toe rings, mangalsutras and sindoor simply helped differentiate that the inlaws were rich while the lack of them meant the girl was born to a prosperous family if she was finely dressed but didn’t don these so she could easily be identified as a maiden.

Tulsi can deal with samaira since shes the only sane one in family.

I totally think samaira saw and heard things which she wasnt supposed to see or hear.Arguements take a toll if she is continuously seeing them for years.

Pretty much the plight of NRI Parents having martial issues and fighting and kids suffering

This KN issue about where to live and how children will turn out is very relatable. In my family/relatives this is a common discussion or at least gets mentioned once in a while. They try to compensate that by putting the children in specific schools thinking that will make the children not get influenced by the western culture. But I don’t know why parents think children will get a better upbringing in back home countries when in my experience those are same or worse. They just do things in secret there
