They bonded over being studious, doctors, high achievers, not like their families etc etc. Slow friendship or maybe respect. Then the rishta goes and abhi agrees for manju

Akshara enters once arohis marriage is fixed. The families goes to joint group trips. Here abhi and akshara get to know each other. They start to like but it's also like they don't want to cheat. Ak has issues cause her father had two wives and abhi knows harsh had cheated on manjari and don't want to be there

Once the friendship deepens and maybe arohi hid the truth about her giving money for MD seat - something birlas didn't mind but abhi is hurt she didn't inform him, he publically broke the engagement. This is where birlas goenkas issue started and we have romeo juliet story.

Abhirohi as pair was never accepted by viewers it was given from start that’s y they never gave Akshara a proper growth after og writers left and Bhavna fav character was arohi ,after Utkarsh leaving Bhavna started slowly degrading akshu character and arohi in ever track ,funny thing in rishta a fl grihapravesh post marriage was done in darkness from there viewers were irritated how fl was treated
