@242 runs Surya is the 9 th highest run scorer of this World Cup and second highest from India, only Ishaan is ahead of him by 20 runs. Plus he is taking us to the finals...His bowling decisions and fielding placements were good in the entire tournament, not the best but definitely good...I have no idea what else we expect of him.

It's my personal opinion and you can all disagree with it but i don't see a solid reason why he is the captain when we can have better options

Would like to add to this:

Dhoni used to set field placements, have a word with the bowler & would tell him to use a certain tack to get the wickets. Even Rohit used to rotate bowlers effectively. It’s not like we have something against Sky personally. He could have contributed more in runs as well but that’s ok because except for Virat, nobody has contributed much in terms of runs anyway.

Also a captain’s job is more than scoring runs. It’s taking an impossible match & turning it into a winning one, not turning a sure shot match into a can-go-either-way game. If Bethell didn’t get out, there’s a good chance that India would have lost.

Yes during covid, Hardik and Krunal took a private flight and went for MS birthday....that time they were more close. Now all r busy.

Its a batting pitch with absolutely NOTHING for the bowlers...Bumrah ko mat lao...he is a freak talent...If he didn't give it to Varun, who else? What if they went for even more runs? Then also Surya ko hi daant padhti....The fact is it was not a bowling match and on the top of it we were fielding one bowler short...Please don't bring if Mahi/Rohit/Virat would've done so and so like as if they were perfect captains...I remember how even they were bashed on their bad days/stints...
