no I am happy DP said goodbye to hollywood. people should know their limitations. no need to embarrass yourself like others😂

But DP had everything to do it and still can do it.., White Lotus maybe is a serie but there are series much more popular and huge than many movie this was the perfect choice to boost her career in HW after xXx fiasco. They're not going to give her a big movie or franchise unless She first gain some popularity in the West...

Well good thing she has finally realized that she can no longer act well(not that she was supremely talented to begin with and she was always a mediocre actress) and has become insufferable onscreen, so that’s why she has become a flowerpot at the age of 40 and will continue playing these small roles in big movies for relevancy

I kind of agree and disagree on this. Agree that aloo doesn't have the personality & acting skills for HW. But would also like to point out that there are people like Jenna Ortega who is short, she is doing really well, even the very successful ones like Reese Witherspoon are short. So height and body isn't the criteria for a successful career in HW.

ya i agree that is not a criteria for hollywood. maybe that point can be omitted. but hollywood typically selects dusky Indians. and Alia is fair skin. so that is also one point.

and most importantly Hollywood does not give big break to Indian actors. they either give small roles or lead role in a small budget movie. so it is not possible to be a big star in hollywood for Indians.

In my (Western???) mind,I neither see a setback for Deepika (just doing work with people who want and understand her, especially her need as a mother of a baby)... nor do I see it as something 'highly' valuable to work in a Hollywood production. I rather would prefer that INdian actors/actresses/filmmakers help to put the Indian Cinema on the global cinematic map...and especially the commercial one with its (once???) unique Masala art. No, It's n o t about nostalgia for me, it's about a concept that had been the usp of Hindi cinema (but also regional one)... and it is on the way to vanish... Commercial (Mainstream) had existed along artistic (off-beat) always, also in India (and there still are movies, I thoroughly enjoy - from both 'departements').

Whatever negativity is spread in this forum and social media (from which the most contributions come), mostly is due - imho - to personal preferences, campaigns and enjoyment for bashing... I rarely find there something really worthy to be taken 'serious' (even though I comment ).
