6:40pm Well, lots to unpack from the toss. Not least Markram's decision to bat first at a venue where dew often plays a part. That could hint at SA expecting the pitch to turn and to only get slower as the game progresses. India have made what was described as a tactical call to persist with Sundar. A bit of an unexpected decision, given Axar is India's vice-captain and had not done much wrong when he was playing. He also has a pretty handy record against Markram, who is SA's batter in form. Sundar being included could be down to the two left-handers SA have in the top three, and don't be surprised if he gets a go during the powerplay.
