that's why trp viewers have rejected this show ...there's no consistency in the characters .no growth.. no consequences for their actions ..its one big mess..Originally posted by: pyar-ishk
That's what bother me above anything about this DKP shows period is the WW. No one get's punishment and then he goes so extreme with the characters and expect us to just forget and move on like his Amnesia writers as if nothing happen. How can we digest VV after helping separate Armaan from Shivani and now Maira from Abhira. Armaan should've been arrested and put in jail and possibilities of losing his law license. There's no mother under this earth would've forgiven Ar easily the way dkp shown Ab doing, No F'ing way. Even if they got back together show something but you got him married to G2. They want fans to forget this again, after going overboard again, will they have Ar married Meher, or Madhav have EMA or remarried

Every channel has few shows which portray problematic things and make their leads do unacceptable scenes but Star Plus kind of mastered it and is also topping charts with shows like Anupama
Rishta had questionable storylines with leads being downgraded every now and then but yes actors are expected to quit every time when story changes because hey how can you portray different shades which doesn't come under "lead actions" being a lead
Sorry to butt in. I’ve always believed that actors are not responsible for the things shown on screen, which is why I avoid criticizing them for it. However, the fact remains that they do have some creative authority. It may not be much, but it isn’t negligible.
Imo, they could have completely avoided the scene where Abhira falls at Armaan’s feet. He could have stopped her as she fell. Sometimes, an actor has to take a stand and refuse to do such scenes. But yeah, to each his or her own.

We don’t know if an actor has actually tried and was refused so I wouldn’t question the actor unless it’s explicitly told by them or anyone offscreen. Most of the times, fans make up things related to actors quitting or shows getting shut based on their own theories but we don’t know what actually transpired behind the scenes unless told explicitly by concerned people. So just because actors are doing their job, questioning them why aren’t they quitting or blaming them for a fictional character’s actions isn’t right imo.
Again going by this logic, none of the actors should do negative roles where they murder or physically assault in shows/movies because they are doing toxic scenes onscreen as some imaginary character as part of their job.

I’m not blaming anyone — not Rohit, not Sam, or anyone else. It was just my opinion, nothing more.
@bold: No, their roles are explicitly negative. No one should be inspired by a negative character or someone who ruthlessly murders or assaults people on screen. Their actions are clearly portrayed as wrong and negative.
My point is that when a male lead is presented as the hero, his actions can be perceived differently by the audience. Fair or not, that positioning can influence some viewers. Not everyone, of course — but the possibility exists.

Sorry for intruding. But I don't think actors have any say at all
If they did have some amount of authority over scripts then why didn't senior actor like HC refused to perform that post miscarriage scene? I mean that was extremely triggering
Also, can't say about Rohit but I don't think newcomers like Sam or Pranali have any authority over scripts
I mean We have seen Pranali perform Falling at her ex feet to prove her pavitrata and spout dialogues like Sindoor ki shakti and shit to her husband s girlfriend

if you have watched gen 3 you know Abhimanyu got a full redemption arc.
He payed the price and suffered
He actually apologised to Akshara for his mistakes
Writers dont know how to write redemption arcs now
I watch Gen 3 for HC and was my introduction to this stupid franchise. I don't talk about G3 for my sanity. You think he was redemption there's those that would say otherwise. Everyone in rishta, as a matter of fact get's white wash, no punishment and their crap never get expose, we just move on.

Wait you mean improvise and that on ITV

Have you ever read a soaps iron clad contract that these actors sign. Even if by chance he improvise, you know there's a editing dept. I'm sure you seen enough bts where you see a sene and when the episode airs another directed scene is shown of that same scene or cut out. Plus how many times can a actor improvise and if you're not careful you get label difficult and it you aren't establish that can cut your career. HC no matter how happy or unhappy will do his job to his contract ends full stop. Even as establish as he is isn't bigger then the industry machine to waste money hiring lawyers if he breach a contract. The guy says it in his interviews that as actor he's there to do a job and does what he's told to do cause he sign the contract. He even said it I thing while in Gen 3
So believe me unless a production house breach contract, the actor doesn't quit 90 days before they start getting paid they are there till the end. Unless they're fired or show is taken off air.
Aaj Buasa ne kya reality checks di VV ko. And glad that she’s blackmailing her.
