If Pakistan had wickets left, they would have come closer.

He anchored the innings and bowlers did their job admirably. Except for the missed catches, India has been phenomenal today!!

After all the hullabaloo and the unreal drama before this game, the action has been one-sided. Pakistan no match to this Indian side. Many expected a close contest since this was at RPS and in conditions which suited spin. Pakistan had 5 of them and they were confident going into this. But all that was torn apart by Pakistan's inept performance with bat. They brainlessly tried to take on Bumrah in the powerplay and lost two wickets in one over of his. Immediately they were on the back foot and more shoddy batting followed. On long square boundaries and against fine Indian spinners, they attempted to slog their way and paid the price. Only Usman Khan played well and once he went, the game was all but over from a Pakistani viewpoint. Yet another ICC event, so much off-field hungama, so much anticipation for this game. And the eventual result - is an easy Indian win. We have seen this movie many times before.

less chances imo. YK they never showed the intent to hit. except for Usman Khan, nobody was willing to exploit the bowlers.

Although credit to the bowlers, today Hardik was very good with his lengths.

An inning that ebbed and flowed - Eighteen overs of spin, and for a while, India made batting looked comfortable. That was largely down to Ishan Kishan, whose aggressive start not only put Pakistan under pressure but also laid a strong base on a surface that clearly wasn’t easy for new batters, something that became evident later. stood out with an excellent spell, his double strike in the 15th pushing India onto the back foot. Suryakumar Yadav then steadied things with a responsible knock, well supported by Tilak Varma as the pair added a 38-run stand to keep India afloat. Pakistan, however, couldn’t close things out well with the ball, as Shaheen Afridi went for plenty at the death, allowing India to finish strongly on 175.

A picture-perfect start - India didn’t just strike early, they ripped the game open in the Powerplay itself. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya kept it tight, asked the right questions, and cashed in, with Bumrah’s double strike leaving Pakistan rattled. To be fair, Pakistan didn’t help themselves either, going too hard and across the line of the ball, instead of trusting the pitch and playing through the line. Most of their wickets looked self-inflicted. And with 38/4 in the Powerplay, they were already staring down the barrel.

A lone fight in vain - Usman Khan played a brisk hand of 44, striking timely boundaries, but with wickets tumbling at the other end, the pressure kept building before it finally got to him. Once he fell, India’s spinners gatecrashed through the rest, never allowing Pakistan a moment to breathe. More than just the bowling, though, it was Pakistan’s technique that came under the scanner, with batters repeatedly undone by poor shot selection and a lack of clarity against spin.
