I remember before leap, Tulsi mentioned to Angad, that one day protect your papa, when he is in need (or something similar, as a foreshadowing).. So just praying for that, else this arc is another golden point, in long list of completely baseless tracks in Kyunki :)

I wish she’d done more though. Glad she at least told him off for behaving with Vrinda the way he does whenever she doesn’t agree with him. Notice how his go to line is - things are going well for us, don’t ruin them by being disagreeable with me and stating your opinions that differ from mine.

He doesn’t want a wife who can disagree with him for all his talk of equality in marriage, yada, yada. Just doing chores for your home and kids, helping your wife around the house doesn’t make you a good husband. You have to treat her like a person who has her own mind too and whose objections regarding your decisions are at least worth hearing even if you disagree.

The fact that he starts to threaten her in a way regarding how her disagreements with his decisions will lead to a conflict in their marriage is extremely terrible.

He is not just domineering but he’s convinced he knows right and best, just like pre-leap Mihir. But with Mihir we at least know that he had been brainwashed by Pari, he stupidly felt validated when Noina agreed with him and there was a genuine conflict of interest, communication gap and lack of trust between them. Tulsi had become too slack and timid as well while he kept on roaring, stomping his feet around the house and making scenes by living at the office, proclaiming that he would leave everything once his work was done, etc.

Angad is heading down the same path as well. Vrinda like Tulsi is being dominated here. This entire thing is very eerie in a way. The only thing that makes it different here is that Vrinda has Tulsi to support her, call Angad out as a mother, an elder of the family. Tulsi had no such support from anyone in the family who could call out Mihir.

I wish Tulsi had asked him what are his accomplishments that he has to show for the past six years? Fine, Hrithik destroyed everything as per him. But did he do anything worthwhile himself? He’s still doing jobs and has only now rented a house by himself.

If he’s so brilliant, what stopped him in the past six years from becoming successful? Who was his roadblock? Vrinda surely was a supportive wife, his in-laws would have been thrilled if they saw him do well too. Who is to blame for his lack of success? Is he going to claim Hrithik is responsible for his own inability to succeed too?

Today Vrinda said that he had hoped that he and Vrinda would be accepted by the family, called back home but once Tulsi left SN, he lost that hope too. It seems he’s miffed as he failed to get back home and couldn’t provide his wife and kids the same kind of lifestyle he had lived all his life. His anger is aimed at his siblings because they didn’t suffer similarly. Rather, Pari got her husband and daughter to live at SN too, though ideally girls leave their parents’ home post marriage and only are back to stay occasionally or if things go wrong in their own marriages. But Pari, Ran and Garu lived in SN and still do so. However, since Pari has been proven as a victim of DA even though Angad still doesn’t believe her, he has lessened his barbs against her knowing that his mom and wife obviously have a soft spot for Pari and feel like she’s not lying this time around.

Ergo the hate for Hrithik.

I felt initially that the brothers were playing a game to deal with Ran but their argument in the hospital has me thinking that it’s not the case. It wouldn’t have been even remotely surprising if they had rallied around Mihir and behaved cordially in the hospital at least for a while for the sake of their father and to help their mother in such a situation.

They made things worse for Tulsi so it seems like they are genuinely at odds here.

Angad is angry because he somehow thinks that the remotest hope that still existed in a corner of his heart to have his wife and kids be accepted by the family and stay at SN is being snatched away by Hrithik and his poor handling of the business that has led the Viranis to bankruptcy. Even if Mihir Tulsi were to reunite and Tulsi ensures that he is accepted by Mihir again along with his wife and kids, Angad feels like there may not be an SN to return to, a business that could provide his little family with the best possible life as it’s all over courtesy of Hrithik.

Easy to think he’s leading a lavish life too.

In a strange way, I think Angad is thinking that Hrithik is leading the life meant for him. He got married to the girl his dad had picked for him, who was the fiancé he dumped on D-Day; he got to run the business that Mihir had groomed him for. He got to live comfortably and his daughter has been enjoying life as well while his kids have to settle for hand me downs and whatever he and Vrinda can afford.

At least that’s my reading of the situation.

I doubt that’s the case. Pari lost the case as she had her previous case work against her. Pari was unable to prove she was a victim of DA. Even if she can prove that Ran trapped her for marriage and they can prove that he’s committed fraudulent acts in the company, it technically still doesn’t make sense to allow Ran access to the company even more than he already has. Empowering Ran even more while Angad himself is not even stepping foot in the company himself would have no consequences whatsoever for Ran. He could have thrown his support behind Ran by simply appearing at the meeting as a shareholder and saying that he supports Ran and then they could have shared their brilliant ideas to rescue the company. He didn’t need to hand Ran his power of attorney!
