The company is still named after Govardhan Virani - Mihir is his grandson. Govardhan had 3 sons and a daughter. I don’t recall if he had a will or not. Let’s say he split his assets between his 3 sons when it came to the company and gave his daughter a combination of immovable and movable assets as her inheritance but nothing in the company as was the norm back then. Even then, the company’s split 3 ways between the brothers alone! That means even if Mansukh say as the eldest got 34 percent shares, the rest were split equally between his two younger brothers - JD and Himmat.
Mansukh had 2 kids. After him and Savita they inherited whatever Mansukh did and it was split in two. That means Mihir and Kiran have 17 percent each, with the 34 percent logic. Mihir alone has 8 kids!!! With one dead that still leaves 7! Are we expected to believe that Mihir who himself has to have shares as he’s very much alive, active and working as a board member gave 35 percent shares to Angad from his 17 percent?! HOW?!
Unless this company belongs to the Kapadias which Mihir handled post Anupam’s death as a trustee while the 3 siblings were legally minors or weren’t considered eligible to inherit until certain conditions were met per a will; I don’t understand how can Angad be considered eligible for 35 percent shares in a family owned company with such a huge family as it is! Mihir himself has 6 other kids! And we aren’t even talking about the grandkids yet!
2 by Gautam, 3 by Karan, 2 by Shobha equals to 7 grandkids from his older children already and we don’t know what they’re going to show for Harsh if he ever pops up!
Angad, Pari and Hrithik have 4 between them so far! That’s 11!
Mihir has enough grandkids all by himself that they can be a cricket team and play Mihir’s eleven versus Rest of Viranis eleven
