She was evil as were others. Her crimes were more severe than that of others

See rishta and other shows where even side characters like Tanya who barely got even 10% of space that Saanjh got but Tanya is still loved by many unlike the lead character Abhira or upama who are bashed or disliked by most now.

Yes, Maya’s character was explored, but people didn’t sympathized her because of that. Otherwise, people would’ve felt that way about Maya of Beyhadh2 as well. I couldn’t connect with Maya of Beyhadh2 that much and I know many who loved Maya of Beyhadh but couldn’t connect with Maya of Beyhadh2 that much or at all. I hated when she killed rishi as he was completely innocent. The positive characters of Beyhadh2 were actually positive. Maya of Beyhadh2 was a dark grey character for the most part unlike Beyhadh’s Maya who was a victim/positive to slight grey for the first season of the show until the leap where she was turned more grey. So people already fell in love with that Maya based on the preleap Maya they saw and connected with. Besides Maya, it was Saanjh who was the most explored but most people hated her character. I couldn’t stand that character after the first 2 weeks of the show.

if the story was shown from Ansh' perspective. His wife didn't love him but still shared his sorrows with her best friend including hugging him.

R**ing is equally bad as falsely blaming a man for r**e. First spoils the life of a girl and second of a man.

Since Behad was from Maya's perspective hence they showed her good sides first before showing her evil nature. For KSKBT, Karan Nandani were the core, so they showed Ansh' bad side first before showing his positive side(on how good a person and lover he was to Shradha)

No, raping someone is never equal to blaming someone for rape. Ayaan did do everything that night except for the final act of raping her. He assaulted her, tried to tear her clothes and gave disgusting dialogues to her like a rapist. Before it was revealed it that Maya faked it, more than half of audience did actually believe he must have raped her because how he acted that night. He walked into it on his own. Anyway, Maya took back that case and he got free afterwards. May should’ve instead put a physical and sexual assault case against him because that would’ve been true. In fact that day itself I had posted this and many did(you can find it in the IF posts itself). Only Maya fans took it differently

The only reason Ansh can't be compared to Maya is because Ansh' perspective wasn't centeral in that story.

i think the show was very clear that maya's mental illness made things worse, also small and big things trigger her to even bigger mistakes

its the actors capacity that maya was sympathized more. and i have always felt sanjh actor wasnt good at all, and ofcrs kushal sucks. maybe someone as capable as maya, their character could hv gotten audience sympathy too

I think her and Arjun’s characters were intentionally written that way in Beyhadh. Vandana’s character too. So audience hate them. Else they would’ve written Beyhadh2 ml and third wheel like that too. But Beyhadh2 ml and third wheel were both decent and good people. So people didn’t feel that irritation and hatred towards them. I know Beyhadh had two PHs. They split and one of them made Beyhadh2. So I don’t know if the writers changed or what, but Beyhadh2’s characters were much better. You didn’t feel like pulling your hair when watching them 😭 But Beyhadh2 Maya wasn’t written that well to connect with audience like Maya of Beyhadh. Also Beyhadh2 wasn’t as well made like Beyhadh, so it wasn’t as successful

Maya drugged Arjun to take him back home because he lied to her and put her in the airplane without her consent. He was attempting to outsmart her, but she outsmarted him. She didn’t inject him to molest him but to stop him and prevent him from leaving the house. Why are you saying something else than what was clearly shown? That b*stard deserved that and worse. If he remained loyal to her and didn’t go around flirting with girls and whatever shit he had going on with saanjh, maya wouldn’t have needed to do all that as she was didn’t do alll that with him initially after marriage
