I loved Neelofar in this episode. I loved how she was willing to show the mirror to Akbar Ali and calls him out on being ridiculous.
He was being very mean to Zaid and it is clear the poor fella has been trying to win approval by being the obedient son. He studied a course he had no interest in, he didn't go abroad and now, he is engaged to Bisma. His dialogue and emotions on being adopted and the pain of feeling like he didn't belong was so well done. You could feel his sting and how much it hurt.
It is ironic that Akbar Ali thinks that his own won't dare to look him in the eye and argue -- he is going to be so shocked at his grandchildren telling him off. At some point, Zara, Sara as well as Shaheer are going to let it rip and he is going to feel bad that none of these kids felt like he would embrace them and so acted like strangers.
I am also confused on what happened with the mother. According to Zara, they were sent away and she heard his refusal on intercom. However, in previous episode, Akbar Ali seemed to imply that he did look for his children but couldn't find them. So why would he turn away his daughter and granddaughter at the door? Was that phupo's doing?
