Amelia Kerr to Wareham, SIX, straight down the ground.
GGTW--106/3 after15 overs
Amelia Kerr to Ashleigh Gardner, out Stumped!! Ashleigh Gardner misses out on her fifty. She walks back after playing a lovely knock. Advances down the wicket, swings across the line, but gets beaten due to the leg-break. Easy stumping for the keeper as the Giants lose their well set captain. Ashleigh Gardner st Rahila Firdous b Amelia Kerr 46(28) [4s-7 6s-1]
Amelia Kerr to Ashleigh Gardner, THATS OUT!! Stumped!!

17.2 Amelia Kerr to Gardner, OUT
Stumped by a mile, and Kerr produces another moment of absolute magic! Floated up deliciously on a fullish length on middle and leg. Drifts in, hangs in the air and that does for Gardner completely. She hares down but is nowhere to the pitch of the ball. Has a wild slog thereafter and misses, with Firdous doing the rest behind the stumps!
Ashleigh Gardner st †Rahila Firdous b Kerr 46 (28b 7x4 1x6) SR: 164.28
Kerr vs Gardner, Clash of the Titans -- only one winner in the last over.
Giants finish on 167/4
Required run rate: 8.34
It’s a competitive total from Gujarat Giants, but it may not be enough against a formidable Mumbai Indians batting line-up. Beth Mooney fell early, but a solid partnership between Sophie Devine and Anushka steadied the innings. Just as the Giants looked set to accelerate, both set batters departed in quick succession. However, another valuable stand between Ashleigh Gardner and Georgia Wareham helped regain momentum. Gardner was unfortunate to miss out on a well-deserved fifty, stumped off Amelia Kerr, while Wareham played a composed knock of 44 to push the Giants past the 165-run mark.
What will be Mumbai's reply to this par score?
Ash Gardner scored 31 runs off 14 balls (SR: 221.42) into onside against spinners with the help of 4 fours and one six.

Shabnim Ismail: (assess the pitch) Do you want me to do it just before they bowl? (laughs) This is actually a better wicket than what I thought. I know we played here on the first game as well, so obviously just assessing the wicket. Obviously, it's line and length is very key on this wicket. You're going to get hit around the park. But I think, I think our batters have everything then to obviously get the score, but it's just obviously sticking to line and length. That's basically what worked today.
(how easy or difficult it is to maintain line and length) I think it depends on the batter. I know Wareham was obviously using the pace, so she made it hard to obviously bowl in the right channel all the time. So with her moving, it made it difficult for us to execute. But I mean, the way they batted, I think it's a decent score on the board. We were looking at basically 170 and below, but I think it's a good target for us.
(can they chase it) Yeah, 100%. I'm backing our batters to come out there and get the runs.
(was it pre-planned to use pace and spin from each end) Yeah, obviously we had a meeting and we sat down and we said we want to mix up a bit of spin and a bit of pace as well, but also varying your line and length and then also using the slow balls. I think Nat (Sciver-Brunt) did that really well in the last over that she bowled as well.
9pm Not the most free-flowing innings of all time, but this is a decent score on what looks like a slightly sluggish and dry surface. Gardner and Wareham, who got together during the middle overs, were front and centre of GG's charge through the middle and towards the end, with both registering 40s. Anushka and Devine could not rattle along as per usual but did their bits to set up a foundation.
MI will also not be very displeased with their bowling effort. They may have wanted to keep GG down to under 160, but Matthews and NSB were expensive. Ismail and Kerr were not, though, and MI's constant wicket-taking meant that GG could never muster the requisite momentum to take the game away. This is a chase MI will fancy, but this is also a total GG can defend. Join us in a bit to find out what happens.
