Deeply honoured: Bhansali on Republic Day parade cinema tableau
Why "Indian cinema's first-ever Republic Day tableau" in the Parade? (part 1)
Well, the government & Co are desperate to get a hold over the Hindi Filmindustry, because they need money, a looooooot of money and there are wealthy people in the filmindustry whose money they want (and not only through taxes but as investors and sponsors).
Do you remember?
October 2019 (also read the one comment under the article):
The article deliberately omits that all those people followed an invitation issued by the PM to celebrate this birthday. Also the article deliberately omits that - at that occasion - the PM talked about the idea to build a grandiose film City in Uttar Pradesh.
Same in this article which includes a video about the celebration:
I know, it's a lot of stuff but it is a plan Modi had since very long... and he has a very strong man in the government who thinks alike...and one year later:
"In September 2020, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, announced to create a new and much bigger film city to serve as a hub of film-making in northern India in the under-development Sector 21 of YEIDA City, located in southern Noida." (Wikipedia)
April 2025 : What had been done with all the money the government (PM & Yogi) already got? Well, take a look:
Does there exist any news that the PM (or Yogi) finally laid the foundation stone (announced multiple times)? Please let me know... because
2 days ago (January, 24, 2026), it's still future tense in the following article:
Why "Indian cinema's first-ever Republic Day tableau" in the Parade? (part 2)
If you read at least the last article I posted, you may be astonished to read that Boney Kapoor is involved in the construction (still not started???)... here a bit of a background about that:
Noida already has a well-functioning film city ... please meet Sandeep Marwah, the brother-in-law of Boney Kapoor:

2 years ago (Jan 2024):
Well, as you could read, Boney was one of four bidders for getting the project... at least the names of Akshay Kumar and T-Series should ring a bell...
To remind you of the project:

Boni Kapoor's and the Bhutani couple's Bhutani Bayview LLP company is a Limited Liability Partnership, "a flexible business structure combining partnership flexibility with corporate-style liability protection. It limits partners' personal liability to their investment, protecting personal assets from business debts and other partners' negligence". (AI)
Mr. Ashish Bhutani, CEO Bhutani Infra, was bestowed with the prestigious Real Estate Most Enterprising CEO of the Year award, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to the encouragement and boosting of corporate organization.
Looking at the chain of events and the involved people, it should be clear why this very Republic Day not only gave a prominent place in the Military Parade to the Hindi Filmindustry (Indian's filmindustry presentd by a Hindi filmmaker makes it clear), but was also the release date for the quite quickly made film Border 2 (announced 13 June 2024 on the 27th anniversary of Border)... "quickly" as the production (shooting) of the movie started January 2025 and ended December 2025 (climax shooting).
I think, it will become more and more difficult for certain filmindustry people to strive in the filmindustry when n o t aligning with this government and it's politics, wims and whishes ... 8 years projected for a megalomaniac project that was already conceptualized about 8 years before without a single construction done... what will be its future?...and what will happen if the charismatic Mr. Modi would have to make place to another PM, to the Yogi, maybe?
As a German, my thoughts go back almost 100 years, when a charismatic Mr. Hitler and his minister of propaganda Mr. Goebbels got hold over the German filmindustry and what happened with filmpeople who either had the 'false' religion or didn't want to align to those in power... and - as a climax in my own mental movie about the once extraordinary Hindi Filmindustry (Bollywood) - I feel a lump in the throat and tears in my eyes... with humankind, history always repeats itself - in other times, other places, other people, other aims - evolved in technic and economy but mind-wise not much...
