I don't see a reason why there is an issue that Mannat has put Dharya's name. Pre-leap, Manna came to the conclusion that her chapter with Vikrant is over, and there is no turning back from that. [He is history as far as she knows].
Vikrant left her at the altar -- didn't complete the wedding ... so for the society, she is an unwed mother. She is protecting Dua by making Dharya her father. [Society is a different beast, and it is a show -- where our moral science lessons do not apply ... if it did, then Mannat and Vikrant should never reunite, and here we are looking forward to their reunion].
What truth should they reveal to a 7-year-old Dua? Dharya is not your father ... your father refused to accept you ... you are an unwanted child.
If a writer has written this scene, they will know how to resolve it when the time comes.
