I know… but per Indian TV shows logic the people belonging to the main protagonist’s family can be very evil but still redeemed. Especially children of the main lead and any elders of the family. The live examples are Pari and Gayatri.

But Bahus shown as evil or even damads can never be redeemed because once evil, always evil since they’re outsiders and can always be replaced.

Ekta did blunder in casting for younger gen in kyonki. None of them are eye - pleasing whereas the same ekta took good looking and easy on eyes people like Namik ,eisha, kanika, sahil uppal in Nagin. Even Sideys and villains like Ravish in Nagin are good looking. Why so much discrepancy between two shows?

Aside I think Gautam was worse than Pari, although they whitewashed it, but he married Ganga while loving Teesha so as to get his property. didn't even tell the family that he wants to marry Teesha so shouldn't be forced to marry Ganga...

Yes I know he never did any domestic violence (in fact never even touched Ganga or made a apavitra, as they called it out) but back then no one checked if there actually was a husband wife relation between a couple or not, marriage was marriage and his actions could have spoiled the future of a girl

In fact during Damini episode, he had actually got Karan abducted and confined so that he couldn't go to his marriage and then went himself there and got married to Damini. that was a proper criminal act but was put under carpet because later Damini became evil and plotted against the family

During Ganga’s episode they conveniently placed the blame for his inability to have an honest conversation with his family on Aarti and her brainwashing him against them.

The fact that Ganga was blameless but still could have suffered from the tag of a divorcee, especially as a young woman from an impoverished family didn’t even merit a single mention let alone an entire conversation between the family and Gautam. Crazily, later Ganga and Teesha were married off to Saahil and Gautam in joint ceremonies. Not one person said that it was absolutely weird and even considered that it could be highly offensive to Ganga.

Gautam was the elder son so ideally he should have been married first but in this instance they could have asked him to marry a few months later as Ganga’s marriage was their priority as she deserves an apology.

Gautam and Teesha could have married a few months later in a different ceremony, but no, Ganga and Teesha were made to share their mandaps like they were sisters or besties marrying two brothers of the same family too and it was 1 big happy celebration.

Gautam didn’t have Karan kidnapped but nearly killed. He had been attacked by goons with a knife in his stomach after they beat him up and ended up in the hospital on the day he was supposed to marry Damini. Then they blamed his actions on his grief of losing Teesha along with their unborn child and his hate for Mandira that now was transferrable and could be doled out to her son who had lost his mother, the only family he had then. It didn’t matter if Karan was innocent and had nothing to do with Teesha’s death. I don’t remember if we’re ever shown if even Mandira purposely collided her car with Gautam’s or was it a matter of sheer coincidence.

Had the tables been reversed and Teesha survived it would they have made her marry Karan via some demented and convoluted dumb plot as an act of revenge for Mandira, whether intentionally or involuntarily killing Gautam and probably their unborn child?

Would the family have accepted that and been fine? Would Karan Teesha have then just settled into a peaceful marriage by letting bygones be bygones?

I think we all know the answer.
