Two genuinely good films from 2025 that deserved better

They are less mainstream/commercial than 'arthouse' movies... and honestly, the audience in India is far more involved in mainstream/commercial than in 'arthouse' (when looking at so many very good movies in the past).

Looking at the changed 'going to the theatres', the focus will be more on 'event'-movies to fill the screening halls...

Haq didn't know what it want to be, we know how religious extremism won and women lost in the end but Haq shied away from presenting what happened that's why it didn't work

Performances were good but movie didn't do justice to the woman on whom it was based

Even Metro in Dino as well…

Are there a lot of (prominent) people in India who still clearly (and publicly) voice opinions that are controversial to the current politics ones... many of them keep silent publicly because... campaigns would try to 'kill' them, right?

I'll speak for myself, I say whatever I want to say but sometimes I don't want to offend those who can harm me and I control myself

India has no political leanings, we have different parties in Center, in state and in local body then there are pressure groups

It is easier to speak against say Modi, Rahul and big leaders who don't interact with us, those who can harm us are mostly local politicians, officers and pressure groups
